427 Engine Swap progress *pics*

Nope. I've got a good tuner, and i'll be able to run just fine on 91. Also be able to pick up more power at the track with 100 octane too :)

Pics of said Vette? :) 6k is great for a stout motor like that. As for how much I spent....even I wish I didn't know those numbers LOL.

Cool build, not my cup o'tea, but cool build.
Are you going to be running a programmable ECU? Cause I don't think unless your tuned for 100 octane it's going to yield much better results. I am just going by what I have been told by my Honda tuner friends. Have fun, be safe.

yeah it will be easily programmable. I will have the tune adjusted for when I go to the track, so it will definately make more power on the 100 octane. thanks.

It didn't take long to find a problem. For the last week, its remained at the shop because of a major oil pressure issue. One of the oil plugs in the front of the block wasn't put in properly. Its fixed now, and the car might be ready to be picked up tomorrow if they have enough time to finish the tune. I'll keep you guys updated.

****ing loud!!! I couldn't tell a difference between open headers vs the exhaust welded up! I got to drive it a couple miles, and it was fun. It has a TON of torque off the line, and I never exceeded 1/4 throttle.

Robert and I finished the test drive and were gonna adjust the lockup speeds on the converter, and once we tried to restart it.....the starter went out!! AAAHHH!!! Soooo close to taking it home! We thought it was the battery at first, but after changing batteries, it still wouldn't start. A new starter is going in tomorrow, and assuming that fixes it (should cuz the old one had 155k miles on it), I'll be bringing it home tomorrow evening.

Break it in and put that thing to work. I demand to see timeslips within a month.
