Just ordered 3! Gonna open one and if I don't like sell the other 2 to hopefully break even.
 
just a disclaimer for anyone considering this:

1080p does not automatically equal quality. 1080p just means it will be a certain number of pixels vertical and a certain number of pixels horizontal.

The actual quality of each of those pixels is determined by the sensor it uses.

And most cheap knockoffs will use a crappy analog camera module, run it through an analog to digital converter, compress it, and record. slowly.

so you might have it looking like an outdated VHS tape, and you might have it constantly skipping as the BS quality flash memory writer struggles to keep up. these products cost 50 bucks for a reason.

you get what you pay for. Look at MSRP for a good product and wait till theres a deal on that product.

You guys are a community, why not try using something like Massdrop to get a deal on the actual gopro?
 
Ok, I'll admit it.
I bought one today.
Don't judge. I've used a GoPro and they are amazing. To play with, get bored with in a month, I don't need amazing.
 
Let me know when you guys get yours, I will upload my video first day good or bad
 
It looks like it doesn't handle vibration well at all (lots of distortion) or low light/shadows. Picture quality is ok, though and I'm sure I've spent more and gotten less...
 
Agreed, Mike. Not a good candidate for handlebar mount. Should be fine on chest/helmet. Hell, my GoPro always gave me shitty video when mounted somewhere that wasn't properly damped.
