Anime Thread *was Naruto Shippuden!*

I just picked up. . .

Appleseed - Ex Machina : Have to say its kickass and the plot was linear to what was published in the Appleseed series and was pretty faithful to the concepts laid down by Masamune.

Trinity Blood - I bought the entire series on a whim, I'm digging it so far. I've only seen a few episodes (random ones at best) at a friends house. I'm only on the second disc out of six and its interesting.

I still need to check out Black Lagoon.

Hooli we gotta compare lists some time. I've picked up Grenadier and Black Lagoon based on your recs. I wanna give back, or at least see what else you got :p

Cool. :cool Appleseed - Ex Machina is on my list. I recently downloaded GITS Solid State Society and enjoyed that too. :thumbup

Appleseed - I still have the 1st edition 4 volume graphic novel set released between 88 & 92. Was a little disappointed by the recent appleseed movie. Wasn't even going to check Ex-Machina out.

Trinity Blood - Most of it, pretty cool. Definitely worth watching. A bit too similar to...

GITS - Why is everything they do so awesome? Had the original small form manga of this but an ex destroyed it. SSS was just damn good.

Damn you guys are hardcore!!

Okay started watching Black Lagoon seriously, and yeah on episode 6 and it's pretty good :D Just episode 1 bored me a bit.

I really like both the Appleseed movies, it's kind of funny to see how the "high end" animation has improved in what like 3-4 years? Someday I'll have to catch up on the older stuff.

I'm on episode 16 of Trinity Blood, I started watching it yesterday but I went out for a ride instead :p

OK so dont know if some one posted this already because I skipped straight to last page but here is a link for all your anime needs from series to movies...even has AKIRA for all you bike fanatics!!! P.S. I am a bit of a anime fanatic...

i just found a really good manga called Mx0 and the fuckers decided to cancel it. i hope it gets picked up by someone else...

shinsen subs still has BL batches on their tracker but it's really slow going

macross frontier ep7 is the reason why i keep watching anime. :thumbup it played like a movie.

Damn, too many new series out there! Now I guess I need to figure out this whole BT thing someday. :laughing

I DID see one episode of the new Frontier series and it definitely looked tight. Unfortunately my Japanese isn't as good as it used to be, so gonna have to find a subbed version. :|

Keep the titles flowing!

I knew I should have listened to you when you said that Japanese seiyuu > English VA. That's all I ever watch anime in now. :thumbup

Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the dubbed versus subbed. The anime is just so much better with the subbed versions. I think it's the tone differences and emotions just better relate to the characters. I've been watching Trinity Blood dubbed and subbed (it's a DVD rip encoded for both) and although I can "multi-task" better when it's dubbed it just sounds soo bad.

There's a reason I tell you these things.

That's because the Japanese directors select their voice actors to complement the character, so that helps the experience. Whoever does the English dubs just seems to pick people who are annoying.:thumbdown
