That's funny - I still have the 4 graphic novels plus all of the original individual issues. Thought the Appleseed movie was decent (WAY better than the original movie), but didn't even know about Ex-Machina. Gotta check it out.

Man, one of these days I'm gonna have to go back and look at all the manga I have filed away...

Ex-Machina (2007) > Appleseed Movie (2004)

Okay I've got some questions, I'm half way through Macross Episode 7 and they are fighting the Vajra, and they are dominating the "brown/tan" ones. I'm guessing those are the weak ones considering they couldn't do sh!t to the red one in the early episodes?

Also who's the guy with the emeralds for eyes? Was that a race they previously fought in the original and/or 7 series? I really hate watching a sequel show without watching the back series, so I might stop and download the older ones and watch them first cause I don't want to miss some of the importance of some of the characters.

There was so much visual orgasm in that episode I have to watch it a second time just to take it all in.

About the new mecha, it's rumored to be a VF-27 from the message boards I've seen.

That's because the Japanese directors select their voice actors to complement the character, so that helps the experience. Whoever does the English dubs just seems to pick people who are annoying.:thumbdown

The one exception I've found to this is RahXephon. Awesome VA in both languages.
 
Okay so I finished Black Lagoon... it was hmm okay, I thought the story was on the verge of being really good, but didn't quite get there for me... but good action

Also watched 5 Centemeters Per Second. Wasn't what I was expecting but was a pretty good story. I think I need to watch it again though.

According to ANN yeah I watched both.

I also started Fafner yesterday. It's getting pretty good. I hope the story doesn't give me a big let down.

I was watching the olympics beach volleyball. I think it was some eastern block team vs a south american?

Anyways, when one team would get a point, they'd play the Naruto Soundtrack. I had to rewind and listen again. Sure enough they were rocking Naruto!
 
Okay new season has started... whats everyone watching?

Blade of The Immortal
Kurozuka
Casshern SINS
Kurogane no Linebarrels

It looks like a pretty good selection right now. Not as many "Slice of Life" like last season.

You guys find any others?
 
Still the same ol', same ol'. Thanks for ressurecting this thread I thought it had ended up in the BARF void. Is Gundam any good?

On another note, did anyone think Macross Frontier had a weak finish?
