Thats the same with Bleach for me. still downloading but lost interest during the last filler arc.
 
bleach filler finally over. not sure why they had that filler that lasted so long... they were still pretty far behind on the manga as it is, and now even more so
 
Watching Gundam 00 last night... I was pretty confused until the third episode. I just thought about wow I don't know any of this I must have missed final episodes or something. Then they kind of dropped enough hints to catch you up to what happened and what is happening. They introduced like 4 new groups that are now major players that weren't around previously.

Anyone else watching?
 
I remember watching Gundam back in middle/high school and not understanding what was going on at all, and i watched the first few episodes. Couldnt ever get into it since

It's always a different timeline, and when it is on the original it's never linear. At least in Macross there's a progression in the overall storyline and technology to the mechs. This is why I think Macross is superior to Gundamn but they only come out with an anime every 5 years.

I've switched up from torrents and have been going with IRC for my anime, works pretty well and you can get it really fast.

I was wondering does anyone know if a manga called "Bari Bari Densetsu" (by Shuichi Shigeno) has already been translated into English?

If not would anyone be interested in translating it? I have raw scans of the manga (in Japanese) and the OAV episode (Japanese language with Chinese subtitles I think). If someone can provide Japanese to English translations, I can clean up the drawings and insert the text for you.

Bari Bari Densetsu (バリバリ伝説, Bari Bari Densetsu? "Motorcycle Legend") is an early motorbike racing manga series by Shuichi Shigeno, who went on to create the Initial D series. It was published in 38 volumes between 1983 and 1991 by Kodansha. In 1985, it won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen.

Outline: A manga about 4 high-schoolers and bike races. It got tremendous support from bike fans back then due to the realness and detail of the bikes Shigeno drew. The story has a lot of similar points with Initial D. Racing on the public road (illegal of course) is the center of the storyline in the first half. It became a social problem in Japan because many "Hashiriya" got influenced by it and became "Rolling-zoku"(hashiriya trying to see how fast they can go through curves).

It's a derogatory term for those that are not Japanese but like Japanese culture such as anime/manga/women. Its the filtered word on 4chan for the term "Wapanese"

In other news, I've started watching Ga-Rei Zero and its been pretty entertaining, some call it a plain shoot'em up, but thankfully thats what I enjoy. I've been really digging the drawing in Casshern Sins, strangely interesting story as well.
