another car thread: new, econobox x2

looks like those have a fair amount of space inside.

they do. i can fit in the back seat with the front one in a comfortable position for me as well. trunk space is good, seats fold nearly flat in back

oh yeah, there is no gas cap! when i had a ranger the check engine light was on all the time. the dealer kept asking me if i turned the gas cap till it clicked (every damn time asshole shut up about it already!). as it's a smog related item maybe they think they have a new mousetrap? hopefully it doesn't break.

That's a nice looking little machine.

Congratulations.

Expectation is around 30mpg combined, so not bad.

That's a good pickup. The Focus is easily one of the best cars in it's class right now.

what's neat is that base model there has some nice factory rims, not steelies with the plastic hubcaps. :thumbup

ok, search over. german money pit is back to being my daily, mini truck of doom is the toy/home depot triper/sell it eventually to fund Goldwing Of Awesome project

2013 ford focus won. SE (aka base model) 5 speed: (having trouble posting image, so click the link if you want to see what it looks like parked outside the Victory Dinner Location)

why? because we qualified for almost all the rebates and discounts and were able to walk out the door for a bit under 20k with maintenance (10k mile oil changes?... i'll be doing some interim ones) and warranty extended to 7 years 100k miles. maintenance package thing includes brake pads and the Clutch! clutch is interesting because this thing will likely teach my son how to drive and... well he might be tough on the clutch..

hopefully it isnt' a giant piece of shit like the last new ford i had...

i think we did ok, mods feel free to leave this thread open for entertainment purposes

Good choice. I've said it before, I'll say it again...a lot of the Ford technicians in my dealer group have bought the new Focus. If the guys who see all the problems in their carlines still choose a particular car, that's gotta say something. The ones that haven't bought Foci, have gone for EcoBoost F150s.

good call. my son burned out a clutch, absolutely smoked it - not cheap!

nice looking car.
