Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

what is the difference between back protector inserts? shield air g2, wave g1-g2, backspace g1-g2. ?

i have a dainese stripes jacket, and im trying to decide which to get. it says its capable of "BackSpace G. back protector, G1 and G2 Air Shield Protector." so im guessing that the wave is not a option for my jacket? can you please explain the difference between the back protectors, to make my decision easier?

If it is the men's Stripes, the jacket is designed to accept either the Backspace G2 or Wave G2. If it is the women's, it requires the G1 size in either model.

The difference in the models comes down to construction types. Whereas the Backspace is a more traditional design using thermoplastic and high density foam, the Wave uses a resin honeycomb core to absorb the impact, but allows air to flow through unimpeded. Both are rated at CE1 meaning they will take a 50 joule impact without passing that energy on to the rider.

Your jacket will also accept the Air Shield G2, but I find most people find it a little too wide for that cut of jacket. If you can comfortably wear the Air Shield, that is the route to go as it does offer better coverage than the other two. You will just have to try them all to see what is comfortable for you.

I have Delta pants that I wear with with a Gladiator D-Stone jacket. But, here in Sac the summer days are way too hot for me and the unventilated jacket so I also have a Laguna Seca perforated jacket. Only problem is that the Laguna doesn't have a full perimeter zipper to attach to the Delta pants. I haven't found anyplace to buy original Dainese zippers. The closest thing I've seen online is the jacket zipper extender. Do you have anything at the store that could help me out, or could you sew in something so I could attach the Laguna jacket and Delta pants? Thanks.

I'd like to know what is your step by step and the materials/soap/cleaners that you use when cleaning jackets and/or suits?

I'd like to know, because this thread seem to put good reviews and I have heard good comments about your work, however, a nice description on how you clean and what you use to clean would be much more convincing and helpful. Not saying that I do not believe you, but I just want to know what your procedure is.

The procedure depends on what suit and style of liner you have, so I will only address the leather itself.

We actually offer a cleaner/conditioner kit for all of our leathers that should be used at least a couple of times a year, possibly more depending on your situation, but truth be told, there are plenty of products available that will do the job nicely such as Leathermasters or Luxol.

There is a camp out there that claims cleaning and conditioning leather is a no-no, but that is completely false. Leather is a hide that must be kept clean and hydrated to retain it's mechanical strength as well as it's elasticity, both of which play a huge role in how abrasion resistant the material will be. If you do not clean out the salts that accumulate in the pores of the hide from your sweat and dirt, that salt will crystalize and sit in the pores, grinding the leather into a soft, pulpy mess that will not hold up to an impact or slide.

As I stated, I recommend a complete cleaning and conditioning at least twice a year, regardless of how much a suit is used. If you sweat a great deal, do it after every track day or hardy riding session. If you ride in the rain frequently, I recommend you clean and condition more often as well.

Hmmmm. Shoot me his dimensions (height, weight at minimum) and I'll look into it.

I know Moto Gio used to make kid's suits, but I'm not sure if they still are.
 
I can't seem to find a happy medium for sizing. My size 50 Ducati Corse jacket has good fit in the chest, but the arms are too short, and the shoulders are a bit tight. My size 52 Zen has good length on the arms and shoulder, but the chest and waist are loose. What is a 6'3" person who weighs 175 to do about this?
