Best first date activites?

I like coffee for first dates, so if you really need to ditch within the first 10 minutes...
 
Start with Coffee at Java Beach Cafe on Ocean beach, quick walk in the sand, then drive 1 mile to Sutro bath and go for a walk along Lands End, all the way to the Legion of Honor. Stop by a coffee shop on Clement and walk back.. :)

I always have to end up teaching the dude how to shoot...and some of 'em get all butthurt. :p

I like to start with a picnic, a bike ride, and a nice flogging, myself.
 
i'm a fan of meeting for a drink (read booze) coffee means i want to be friends on a first date.
 
Dinner, a nice walk and then having her check if this handkerchief smells like Chloroform.
 
A word to the wise: If you are taking her on a bike ride, make sure it is not too long. Their excitement only lasts for the first 20 minutes max.

Musicales are a nice place to go on a first date. It makes you seem very classy. :)
 
Depends on what you want out of the date.

First Date Activities that got me laid:
1. Motorcycle ride (top of Tam with wine and cheese is one option)
2. Salsa Dancing.
3. Rock Climbing.

One's that didn't work:
1. Take them to the zoo.
2. Take them to a movie.
3. Take them to a ballet.
4. Take them to a museum.

Mixed results:
1. Take them to an Italian restaurant.
2. Take them to a sushi bar.
3. Non-salsa dancing club.
