BMW HP2 Sport?

Do you have a friend or something in the area that can take a look at it for you...even if they are not a motorcyclist you could give them a list of things to look for.

I'd be a wee bit nervous about buying a bike sight unseen.

Maybe you can start a thread on BARF; there might be a member in the area of where the bike is that might take a looksee for you.

Of course, they might buy it from under you! :laughing

and to think 3 weeks ago you said the GS was THE bike and I believed you....:laughing:laughing I didn't even think BMW sold that bike here, never seem one on the road.....

So far passed my initial sniff test. Seller responded to my email in punctual and coherent English. He seems legit tho. I've googled his email and noticed he was a long time member at another forum selling some pricey Porsche items. Upon further research, he owns a race team ('splains the background in the pics)

As for posting this in the advent of someone else swooping in and getting the bike from under me, that's fine too. Maybe it will teach me to buy less impulsively!

You have friends who would be willing to spend the time to fly and ride it back for you :teeth Might be less expensive than shipping?

That is insane. Just for grins, I googled HP2 sports for sale and that price is wayyyy lower than what it appears others are going for. If it was truly what the seller says, I would jump on it. I won't jump in front of you, but it is tempting if you pass on it.
 
$10.5k is a ridiculous price for that. Snatch it up if it's legit!

I wouldn't mind an HP2 Sport in the stable :teeth

That's a possibility, but I wouldn't want to torture someone with riding an HP2 back to CA. Shipping isn't too expensive ~$500.

Seriously, cool bike - hope it works out. Price sounds almost too good to be true - way below what NADA shows 'em at.

It's almost like an age thing. In my twenties, I would have hated the boxer motor, but in my thirties, I come to appreciate them!
