Bump if you rode into work today

the GSXR is an older bike plus its pretty heavy and there are nicer targets parked in the same row as me but I still throw a disc lock on.. ok it may not be much of a deterrent but its something more than nothing and MIGHT just make the difference in someone deciding its not worth the bother...

Yeah, I'm all about the disc lock - portability and general usability being its primary features. I see a lot of motos parked w/out that :/

im just heading out for my lunchtime walk... gonna see if I can fit your WR in my pocket as I pass Cookie... lol

The brand new, first release 250 EXC-F. But I think I'd rather go with the 350 because I do more street than offroad.

Holy shit that's a long commute on a supermoto - you go on with your bad self! :thumbup

So...clearly you need to stop at Zeitgeist today and rest up before that long commute ;)

I'm down! How long will you be there, though? I don't know if I can get out of work before 5. :(

If your bike turns up missing, my first call would be to Chris. :laughing

:laughing

Good thing I can see my bike from my desk! Granted, I'm up 17 floors so I kind of have to squint but I think it's there. :teeth

if it was me parking that in town I would be putting on some extra security anyway... far too easy to pick up and load into a van for it not to be chained somehow

I've been trying to leave before it gets dark.. Chains are too heavy and I'm hoping that the financial district is busy enough that someone won't just pick my bike up and leave with it, but I do worry about it.

I actually just picked up comprehensive only on my BMW specifically for insurance against theft. That's the thing I worry about. I can do the work myself, but I have to have the bike in my possession to fix it :|

Yeah, full comprehensive coverage (with $100 deductible) on the WR. I also opted out of collision since the motorcycle is so easy to fix, but can't do much about theft.

LOL, if only I had room in my garage for another bike...whole family rides and we have 6 motos in the garage. In order for me to get my 350 EXC-F I gotta sell one :(

Chains are too much of a [heavy] pain and you can't always use it depending on where you park. Since I'm often bouncing around SF (yes I park on the sidewalk in alleys) a chain would only be usable *maybe* 50% of the time. I satisfy myself with full theft coverage and remaining detached from my motos :laughing

What are you getting rid of? That's awesome that your whole family rides. :ride

I thought about it... but its too darn big for my pocket! will have to bring a backpack next time!

for a second there I thought you would post a picture of me taking a picture!!!!! lol

Will be there till 6:30 or 7:00, so stop by! Look for the dude with the dirt bike helmet with annoying graphics :rofl

Working on the CBR400RR now and may have a buyer lined up (that gives me room for the KTM), then the DRZ400S(M) so I can get a dedicated dirt bike that doubles as a track bike for Stockton days. Probably a TTR125 since they have a race class for those at Stockton - not that I'm anywhere near good enough to race, but I think I'll get better riding a small bike. I'm super short.

Oh here, dis be me if you need to steal a few spare parts on your way home. Spear and Market LOL. Parked next to a sweeeet 500 EXC-F. The height of it scares me a bit with my 28.5" inseam; the 350 EXC-F is the same height :wow

Upside is that it's lighter than the WR so it may be easier to handle at a lean at stop lights.

Yeah, but the K5/K6 GSXR1000 is the best one. That's the one I'd try to steal. :later :laughing

There are some really nice bikes parked around here, though. Lots of BMWs, Ducatis, newer R1s, etc. I figured I'd be safe with my little WR, but that 12 o'clock gang might want it just because it's a supermoto. :|

Sweet! Mini WR meetup!

I can't drink anything, though. Too many close calls with the bladder on the 1 hr commute home. :laughing
