Tell yourself that you don't lean more because it's the street and a) you don't want to low side into a permanently affixed object...like a curb or post, b) you're not getting paid to GO to work, c) shaving off a couple tenths of a second on your commute to work just means you get THERE sooner. Pick one or all of the above. Makes the chicken go down easy.

I add 45 miles to my commute a couple times a week by riding Marsh Creek before work, so I am obviously never in a rush to GET there. The hard part is turning into the parking lot when I could keep going to Mt. Diablo...

I left the house this morning at 6am and quickly realized I had no low beams. Had to turn around and drive the Evoque. Bummer! No ride today for me.

Your 2013 needs a top-end rebuild in 15k? How many miles are on it now? That's a bummer, what necessitates the rebuild?

It's got over 52K miles on it right now (right around 52,3xx this morning I think) - one of the exhuast valves we managed to get into spec this last adjustment, but just barely, so there's not another valve adjustment left in it. The GSXRs are pretty prone to those stretching pretty quickly, so it's not a surprise. Bike will have over 60K on it by the time it needs another adjustment, at which point I'll have to rebuild.

Part of me is looking forward to doing that - mostly just don't want my commuter down for that long

I just got a 700 mile-to-service notification this morning (will be 18,000 service, valve adj) and I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw it because I'm excited to open it up
