Bump if you rode into work today

Rode in as a I do at least a couple of times a week...and yeah, it’s getting toasty out there. *pant*

How do we embed imgur pics?

Cross this bridge twice every single weekday...

Edit: Oh whoops. I missed the "prove it" part of this post. I don't actually work on Treasure Island :)

Yep, every day.

Do you remove the front fairing often? I swear Monday you got onto 242S with me, was going to give you the barf solute :twofinger but didn't see a fairing on the front..

Every day. If I had to keep doing PH -> SJ via car, I'd go insane.

I can only imagine. I am Concord -> Walnut Creek, all of 6 miles the long way. How many miles of lane splitting do you get everyday?

Here you go!

So clean, love the look:thumbup

THIS is the month I install the mini split AC that has been in the garage for two years...

You need to find the .jpg direct link, there is also an option for BB Code embedding when you upload to imgur.com so you can just copy and paste.

What a picture! Is that a shot from your daily parking spot? Thanks for sharing:thumbup

It would be cool if people included where/to they are commuting from. Thanks for the responses so far:teeth:ride

Yup. Take the bike most days.
I'm commutiing from Dublin to Fremont 680 S. Exit Automall.
I don't park in the parking lot but a covered area.

Well, technically I live in Concord and drive 6 miles to my buddy's place in PH off of North Main, and then go from PH to SJ.

Morning commute is probably 6-10 miles of splitting. Commute home is probably closer to 20 miles due to the lack of express/carpool lanes.

I'll post a picture up if I remember to take one. :p

Nope, I've only ridden with it removed once in the last month or so. I always regret not taking the time to pop it back on whenever I do since it makes such a big difference. I also stick to 680 on my rides home.

Niice, I'm trying to get a key card for the covered garage at my office, helps when it rains and protects your paint :thumbup

That's cool, so you and your buddy both ride down to SJ in the mornings? Wish I had a daily commute bro! Let's see that picture!

Wind protection is something I have yet to experience on a moto. Was going to rent a harley in Chicago for a couple days while my wife attends a conference but plans fell through.

Definitely feel better about not getting "your" attention this morning. I was going to do my best to make it to your highlight reel :twofinger

My bikes are covered when at work, rain or shine.
The one I pictured is a 1997. It's no garage queen. It has its share of battle scars but any cosmetic damage that bike has was inflicted by me while riding it, not by the sun while parked. :laughing

Every day! The best thing about getting off work isn't getting off work, but getting on bike.

Edit: no pics, I park in a very dimly lit garage

Nah, it's just where the bike is stored since my garage is full of a table saw and some extra refrigerators.

As it should be!:laughing

Yes! My 90 mile commute home from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles was the highlight of my day, twice a week! I don't know how long I would have looked forward to if if I had to do it everyday though...

Ah, a much more boring answer thanks :|

Haha very nice bike though :thumbup My next bike is a shootup between the R1 and S1000RR...I think I settled on the 60th LE R1 though...matches my current bike color and I love me some Kenny Roberts!

This is so very true.
I actually look forward to my commutes, if only because I get to ride my motorcycle. (and I've been riding for over 40 years, never gets old)
Car people don't understand that. Their loss.
It also explains why I become an unbearably impatient fuck-stick when I'm in a car.:laughing

Bump!

Everyday, including when it rains, since I got waterproof gear now.

Yay for good gear! The hard part for me is sucking it up and getting out the door in the rain:laughing

This is a sore subject between my wife and I when I'm in the car with her. If I drive it's way too fast and if she drives I'm constantly working to keep my mouth shut
Smash In The Car said:
You're in a blind spot

The light is about to go green

The car approaching from behind will want to pass

You are driving 70 in the left lane, I don't care that the car in front is going 70 as well. Let the asspacker behind us asspack the car in front of us!

I could go on, but you probably get the point:party:rofl

I'd say the R1 definitely feels more special than the S1KRR. But based on other people's opinions only (haven't ridden one, don't know how I would for a few years until used ones start showing up), the throttle on the R1 is a bit much on the street.

My buddy (where I store the bike) loves himself some Kenny Roberts and is still trying to get a 50th R6, assuming anybody on Craigslist actually tells the truth and replies to his questions on what they're trying to sell.

The S1KRR is comically easy/smooth to ride. And having heated grips and cruise control, and full up/down blipping, exceedingly noob friendly and nice to be on.

Most days, used to do it in any weather (back in Italy I was leaving the bike home only in the snow). Now I got a bit spoilt by the Californian weather and I avoid the rain...:rolleyes

Riding from Berkeley to Livermore, if I can, on Redwood.

I actually look forward my daily commute!
