Buy Gpro now!

It's been trading fairly reliably between $19-20.50, AMBA earnings makes sense. I'll probably wait until after AMBA ER, but if the trend continues even after, I think it's a decent time to go long, or even better, trade it.

do you know why?

Najarian

true

and Paris, US is talking big about renewable energy investments for the future.

and tech billionaires announcing they are planning on putting billions into renewable energy.

SolarCity leading both deployment of renewable energy generation in the US and with Tesla, leading the way with storage technology.
Many don't agree solar + storage is the way to go but it is a step in the right direction until other technologies and breakthroughs happen. Fuck coal power plants.

Yes, they have been burning cash but growth has been their goal and they have doubled every year for 9 years like clockwork. Now they need to pull back the reigns a little and show wall st. they can make money so slower growth is needed. it was expensive to hire, train and outfit the rate of growth they have had in sales, operations and overhead support.

when I was reading up before deciding to go long on gpro, some report on yahoo finance said, TL;DR, "get out of gpro, go into Sony Entertainment (SNE)"

I know Sony got hit bad by some hackers a little while ago. What's the skinny on those cats?

don't do what they tell you to do. trust me.:laughing

Turning out correct

I'm not too surprised but it's still nice to see. I have a way to go to balance back to my purchase price but following the trend I think it might hit 45-50 by the end of December.

I originally bought scty ipo price and sold at around 55. It's a decent buy today for someone who's looking for super long term.

Now when is spacex going public....

CNBC is highlighting the market selloff in the energy /biotech sectors. A couple analysts are saying that the dollar will take an impact soon.

The market is horrible for several reasons but the main one is the issue with Greece right now. Germany is on the edge of a recession as well.

This is a great time to invest because companies like GoPro are about to push for their holiday season. Speculation baby, change your game to speculate and enjoy the profits.... for now.

How long do you think oil is going to be 80 bucks a barrel?

On 10/16/14:

DJIA: 16,321
GPRO: $75/share
Crude Oil: $80/barrel

Today:

DJIA: 17660
GPRO: $18/share
Crude Oil: $38/barrel

No offense, but... yikes.

Like I've said a few dozen times in here -- logic, reason, common sense and fair play disconnected from the equity markets and global economy in general a looong time ago.

Last month I found out I had an old etrade account from when I was in the military. The account has been "active" for 10+ years. After hundreds of hoops, I finally got access to it. On Friday, I initiated a stock transfer to my personal trade account and was told it could take up to 15 days for them to land in my account.

I liquidated and tried to transfer the cash...

I was then prompted this was a no go and I had to call in. I called in and verified and was informed... there is a 15 business day waiting period before I can transfer funds... on a 10 year old account

I disconnected and called my broker this morning, USAA. They initiated the transfer from their side and the money is already floated in my account and will land NLT Thursday.

I do not understand how ANYONE deals with "commercial" trade accounts.

My wife is dealing with the same shit at Fidelity. Trying to transfer her stock grants to our community account and the hoops we have to jump through is pure suckage. We sold some HP stock in premarket on split day and are still waiting for the Due Bills... a month later. I assume we will never see them as Fidelity doesn't have a clue how to process for them?!?

I would imagine part of it depends on how long it's been inactive, and also how much you're trying to withdraw? I have never had to close a trading acct yet, but I do cash withdrawals & deposits into mine and it happens within the same day, all the time.

etrade said it was because I changed the email address and they couldn't override the system?!?

Fidelity had differing time limits and requirements for each function of payment.
