Not sure why your jaw dropped, aren't most Fords in the shop more than on the road? Probably explains why it only has 400 miles

Black done right is basically a mirror. Any and all imperfections in the smoothness of the surface it's on distorts the reflections. Because of this, every ripple, dimple, swirl mark, or orange peel GLARES obviously to all who see it. Things that are not even perceptible in another color, show front and center with black.
A car like that continental with those long slab sides will even show body panel fitment unevenness issues, as the reflection lines will not line up.
