Cars that make your jaw drop.

My Maserati does 185. I lost my license now I can’t drive.
I think it will do 185. I don’t want to do the license thing though.

I did see a commercial, I went there,
Can't call it a corn binder, , ,

My uncle had Gulf stations in San Francisco in the '70s, so I was always a fan.
That said, I absolutely hate every Formula Ford, Spec Miata, Radical, E30, etc with a Gulf Livery.

These cars are just incredible... a Classy, Super Sophisticated Brawler!!!
Spent Friday and Saturday at Spring Mountain running the CT5-V Blackwing w/6 Spd Manual on the 1.8 mile East "Bowl" track. I'd driven the stick and the auto versions on the street BUT in Track Mode the car becomes something completely different. A Night and Day, Jekyll and Hyde, Wolf in Sheep's clothing kinda thing! Bit of an accelerated learning curve jumping into a car I've never tracked and on a track I'd never driven on. Ok, lets do a couple of warmup laps in "Sport" mode first, then BAM we're putting this thing into Race 1 configuration. Holy Shit, hang on to yer lugs nuts cause you've just entered a new dimension (and "No" I'm not ready for Race 2 configuration by a long shot).

All in all I felt pretty good with my lap times for being in new to me car and track. There were 5 pretty fast guys, one tipping into 1:17.9xx minute laps times, the other 4 in ranges of 1:18.7xx to 1:21.5xx times. Me, pretty consistent times in the 1:24.2xx to 1:24.9 xx times on day 2., which put me in 6th out of 18 drivers.
They also had a short autocross course we ran on both days, best single time wins. WOOT, WOOT, I finish in 2nd, dropping about 1.5 to 2.0 seconds on each of the 6 runs.

On the track course, you drop down into the "bowl" on turns 3 and 4 and come out of it just before 5, but you don't see 5 until you clear the bowl.

And a little factoid for you Vette fans, percentage wise more Caddy owners track, autocross, or drag race their cars versus that of Vette owners.

Epic FLHO! My 16' V is an ex V-lab car. I'm sure it made many new owners smile it up.

The 2025 CT5 Blackwing-V has considerable suspension changes that quicken it up about 1.5-2 seconds a lap (claimed). I've had a deposit on one of these since they announced them...think I might convert that and (sadly) move the Gen 3. But man...that 2026 ZR1 keeps calling at me too...
