I heard that Brando's, The Wild One, was a setback for the motorcycling community during it's time. The image of reckless motorcyclists and motorcyling gangs became pervasive among the non-motorcycling populance.

As motorcyclists are still a niche group and since public opinion is so oft to be shaped by popular culture (movies/television), what I saw in this trailer does not bode well for the impact that this movie could have.

One can only hope that this movie does not attract as much attention as Brando's.

well people like you make me a little upset, so you dont like doing it, dont knock it, i dont knock you cause i dont like racing all that much.

I respect racers, takes a lot of skill but i dont knock em, why not just keep your little badmouthing to yourself if you dont have anything nice to say.

no offence but i just dont think you have the right to define whats good and not on a sportbike

You obviously do not understand where Kameron is coming from. Where does he diss stunting!?
Where is he trying to define the use of a sportbike?!

If you read the first 3 pages of this thread, you will understand that the overwhelming sentiment of this thread agrees that this movie poorly portrays the sportbiking community ("canyon carver" and stunters both).

Everyone that rides a sportsbike is affected by what appears to be an increasingly negative public image of sportbikers. Based on what you see in the trailer, WTH do you think this movie will do to that image?
 
OMG, these guys called us a few months ago asking us to send them helmets for the movie. They pitched my boss on the fact that the movie would promote bikes. Uh oh. we're fooked.

You know what? I should see if I still have their contact info and send them a link to this thread so they can see what REAL riders think about their movie. What a minute, it's Hollywood, I am sure they don't give a crap :mad
 
ooh this looks like quality movie making. can't be half as good as the greatest movie ever made, the fast and the flowbies. I don't even have to watch the trailer to know it looks retarded. C'mon Vin Diesel isn't even in it. Now, how you gonna make a teeny-bopper target audience action rebel biker flick without Mr. Diesel? :) haha

paint too, another good idea. screw peoples perceptions, ride or die :p i never bought a bike to look like a boyscout. the insurance worry is a threat but this freaking out about it in a thread on this forum will certainly qualify as preaching to the choir, and help noone all at the same time.
 
Can't wait for next summer. Going to be some crazy shit out there on the roads. I think we should release a video "How to BTBe Biker Boyz" That shit would sell like hot cakes. Time to paint my stunt bike fast and the furious stye and sell it for $10,000.

Did you even read what I wrote? I didn't say anything about stunting being stupid. When I'm not on public roads I pull wheelies stoppies, all that shit, but I don't do it on the highways. Racing on streets is stupid. Guys riding Busas on dirt is stupid. Guys riding without helmets is stupid. The 7up guy being in a movie is stupid. And last time I looked, I can badmouth whatever I want. Figure out what you're trying to say before telling me what I shouldn't.
 
Hey I'm gonna have to admit that I am going to watch this movie (like a moth to a flame :barf )... But no way in hell will I ride to the theatres. I want my bike to be in the parking lot still when I come out. :twofinger Cuz just like after Fast & Furious came out, lots of peeps cars started getting jacked. Lock your rides down fellas... There's gonna be alot of kids out there who got no $ and nothing better to do than want to look cool like the movie on your ride that you spent all your $ on...

We're riding out to the theaters and doing all sorts of stupid shit infront of the theater. Every thing from rolling endo's to burnouts to rear brake slides. I can't wait for the permier.
 
Both "Biker Boys" and "Torque" are movies that will only bring more stupid squids in to the sport. I will never pay money to watch such garbage...
