uh CHP didn't cause that, riders who don't know how to stop right did.

His name is Tim. He's one of the Skip's crew. I can't recall his screenname. I'm pretty sure he filmed this.

I don't know...I just found it. Funny how the guy in front does a stopie:laughing

yeah..awesome..laughing at a multiple riders going down...not a huge d-bag move at all

I'd like to see how you react if you are in a formation of bikes and a cop cuts it in 2 after crossing the DY, hits the lights and sirens while being only a few feet away from your rear tire. I'm sure you'd wheelie to safety like a champ and run off into the sunset :rolleyes

Still, a cop on your rear isn't an invitation to stack like a newb on top of your riding buddy :laughing Before anything else can happen, everyone has to come to a safe stop.

I would nail my rear brake and fishtail till I fell off :twofinger:rofl

Yeah, not exactly the cop's fault. I fully expected to see a cop car doing a PITT on a bike or something. Not so much, no.

So was Tim the one that got ass packed? That's what it sounds like, anyway.

Definetly a BARFer video. They sent this to a few LEOs here on the board several weeks ago and asked our opinions. I spoke to the rider as well when he called asking for advice.

The only person at fault in this situation is the rider who locked his front brake and endoed. The officer obviously had emergency lights activated. The officer pulled behind the rider(s) he/she wanted to make an enforcement stop on. For whatever reason, the rider could not safely bring his bike to a stop and ended up causing another rider to crash as well.

It was the third riders fault. He just moves to the side and doesn't even brake untill it's too late.

Yeah, not the CHPs fault. Certainly looked like unsafe following distance, though. Thank god nobody got run over.

I can't figure out why the cop didn't get out of his car to see if the riders were injured in the 45 seconds between when they went down and the end of the video. :thumbdown

The rider of the camera bike was to the downed riders within about 10 seconds.

Uhh: Let's see. CHP gets on radio to report accident, location, and possible need for backup or ambulance. That's good for a couple minutes. Uhh, CHP sees other riders assist morons who crash and gets back on radio to report. The 45 seconds he spent on the radio could have possibly saved a life by getting a REAL EMT out there if needed. He did nothing wrong at all. What is he going to do? Hold their hand and say a prayer?

I won't speak on the rider's behalf, but lets just say it was a shitty situation for everyone involved, so to poke fun and laugh is in really poor taste

Yes I realize it was ultimately the riders fault who grabbed the front brake, but I'll also say that that cops driving was a bit unsafe

Its easy to be armchair critics in this case, but without seeing what was going on off the screen, there is a bit of the story left untold

"CHP Causing An Accident"? That's retarded. 100% rider error.

Improper spacing for speed, stopped too quickly, failed to control motorcycle, etc., etc. Or maybe they were on new tires...or there was gravel in the road...or their brakes failed...or

That's just laughable that someone would post that video with that title.

I would have to disagree.

Why are the riders filming themselves? Perhaps to make cool videos to impress their friends on Youtube? OK, that's fine with me. But when they video themselves doing something blatantly squidly, then post it with a title that blames the COPS, I'm afraid they opened the door on Relentless Internet Ridicule.

The poor taste was blaming someone else for being a complete and utter tool. I would have had some compassion for their misfortune if they hadn't tried to place the blame elsewhere.
