I knew there had to be barfers in there.

Level 112, TH9 with maxxed defenses and a mix of level 8 and 9 walls. I made it to masters II, but then dropped into gold to keep working on upgrades.


I can't explain why I like the game so much. A lot of it is beyond your control. You can come up with great attack strategies, but sometims the troops don't go where you want them to. Maybe that's some of the appeal.

I built them one at a time. Level 1 xbows are kinda weak and you have soooo much stuff to build at first, that it's rough to give up two builders for 7 days each. You want to upgrade your spell faactory and lab right away, so that's two workers. There are a huge amount of new defenses to build and current ones to upgrade plus the new storages.
 
I tried to jump into crows, but it is closed. I'm popping into River Bend right now.

You definitely want to upgrade your spell factory and laboratory. Right away. And yes get the AQ too, by far the best troop in the game. I also used all 6 mil gold for the xbows, don't let anyone tell you different, get them. Even if Lv1 they will repel strong farm attacks that otherwise would clean you out. Th9 with no bows is just a th8. After they are done, do not work on walls. i think you had black walls already? Good enough until you get all your defenses maxed. Then use gold and elixir for LV9 walls, they are awesome. LV10 even better if you have the patience.
Maybe set aside a few gems and and upgrade a few levels of new arch tower, cannon, tesla, big bomb. Last, upgrade the army camps asap!

Yup, gowipe attacks are 2 star for sure but to get 3 is hard sometimes. I've seen some interesting variations of it including like 12 balloons, or 12 hogs, a th10 using 5 max golems and rest wiz and 3 jumps spells on strong th9s, looks great when it works.

I'm lv112 too, 6 more days til th10. :cool

Oh, I'm doing all of it. By the time my TH is ready, I'll have 4 builders free. I learned the last time that it is just as important to make sure that you have a bunch of free builders as it is to make sure that you bank gold, elixer, and dark elixer when you upgrade your TH.

The 6 mil of gold and two builders will buy the xbows.
1.6 mil of elixer and another builder will work on upgrading my spell factory.

I'll have to wait another 3 days for my lab to finish upgrading my hogs to lvl4, but once that's done, I'll use 2.5 mil of elixer to start that upgrade.

From there, I'll barch a few raids to get the remaining DE to buy my AQ while working on getting the 25 new walls up to the same level as the rest of my walls. I take my time and only upgrade one defensive building at a time. I don't weakening my base by having a bunch of defenses out of commission at the same time.
 
You don't need to wait for an upgrade in lab to finish. Upgrade the lab and once that's done the troop upgrade will continue on where it left off. Do you have lv3 pekkas and lv2 golems yet? Very important in war. Also lv6 giants will be most useful for farming. I wreck many strong th9s and take 700k+ total of loot all the time. I use 12 giants, 8 wb, 12 wiz, 36 archers, 60 barbs, and either more lv6-7 giants in cc or wiz. Don't always use the cc though.

Oh shit, thanks! I totally forgot that I don't have to wait to upgrade the lab.

And, yes, I maxed out all the troops in TH8. So, yes, lvl3 pekoe and lvl2 golems. I am well versed in a gowipe attack.
 
Upgrade/build priorities for TH7? My upgrade will be complete tomorrow. I'll have all my builders and I'm trying to farm up to max out my gold and elixir. I'll have 4 builders ready to go.

Everything but my collectors is already maxed out for TH6.

I know I need to get walls going and my army camp. But then what after that? Mortar, cannon, not sure if I get new towers or not. DE collector and storage. Of course I want the BK, but I'm not sure where I should prioritize that..
 
Army camps first. That helps with looting.

You can unlock drags so that should help with your warring.

Do your lab and spell factory.

That should keep your 4 builders busy.

After that round of four, add all the new things you can get at TH7, and then work on maxing those out. (new collectors - Dark Elixir).

I would rather have all the extra defenses up and going to a decent level first. Even a plain archer tower is more powerful than people think and the more defenses you have, the better you are. Where the Xbow won't come online for seven days, you can get a wiz tower, archer tower and hidden tesla up and going to a decent level much faster.

When you first hit TH9, you are fodder for TH10. A level 1 xbow will act as a visual deterant for lower level players, but an established TH9 and 10 (even an 8) will mow right over them.

Am I going to be fodder because as a TH9, a higher percentage of my loot is going to show up for TH9's and TH10's?

As for your other comment, I already have level 10 archer towers. It takes 6 days each to upgrade to level 11 towers. And, I already have level 6 wizard towers. It takes 7 days each to upgrade those.

My position is that at least buying two xbows isn't going to make my defenses weaker for 7 days like upgrading any of my existing defenses will.

I'm not saying to upgrade your existing ones, I'm saying you get new ones. One archer tower, one Tesla and one wizard tower, all brand new. There is no wrong way to do things, though and to be honest, you're going to take a bit of a beating in the first few weeks no matter what you do. You'll weather it, though. I would recommend putting your TH outside the walls for an easy shield, though.

And yes, you will be a more appealing target to th10's because now instead of only being able to get 50% of the available loot, they will get 90%. other th9's will get 100%.

When I hit TH9 I sucked it up and bought a 5th builder right before. The way I see it, xbows are much more important at defending your base whether farming or war . Not only did I get both right away, I kept builders on them upgrading to lv3 continuously, just gotta weather the storm being raped over and over while they're down, but totally worth it. I'll probably do the same for infernos and max xbows soon. Gotta upgrade the strongest stuff first. Although in TH10, I'm gonna work on arch towers before the splash damage like mortars and wiz towers. Those Lv12-13 are no joke!


BTW, I HATE new people that join and then out of the blue leave in the middle of a war! We have a new protocol to not include them in the first one and they must WANT to be in a war. Well we just had a TH10 with 3 accts do one war with us and left in the middle of the 2nd going on right now. Sucks cause we're up against 10 TH10s and we only have 2 left, although most of their TH10's can be 2 starred by us TH9's.

Anyone wanna check out my clan its ForgottenRealms, we got some good high level players.
 
So, I'm now TH9. Man, the lvl1 AQ is kinda useless unless I just put her in behind my lvl10 BK. By herself, if you just breath on her the wrong way, she dies. I guess I'm gonna be using a bunch of DE trying to upgrade her as much as I can.
