Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do except ignore it, stop playing online, or only play with groups of friends that you know (which I do with Left 4 Dead).

It really makes it a lot less fun to play, though.

I hate Best Buy too but they always honor their warranties. The workers are also so un-motivated that you can get away with not including the HDD, the controller, ect.
 
the new xbox's should be safe from rrod, at least thats what it sounds like.

and if you only worry bout rrod, microsoft has the 3 year warranty covering it on all xboxs, so only reason for best buy warranty is if something else breaks or if you want instant exchange instead of having to wait
 
If I'm playing multi it's player matches or spec ops only. No prestige for me.
 
How the hell does the radar thing work on MP? Do we only get enemy dots if we have a UAV up or a teammate has a visual?
 
when an enemy fires his gun he shows up. unless he has a silencer. UAV will pick up everyone, unless they have the perk that hides them from UAV.

UAV can now be jammed as well.
 
Yes, you've got the radar-ish map that shows friendlies. (IIRC, green = friendly and blue= friendly in party.) With a UAV up you get the smaller red squares.

Hardcore = no gaydar unless a UAV is up.


Before I unlocked hardcore I was hating team deathmatch. I would empty half a magazine of 5.56 into somebody's center of mass and he'd spin around and kill me with a headshot. Then I started using the SCAR-H with stopping power perk and dropped those bitches on the first burst. I'm hoping for the FAL soon so I can use semi now that I'm playing hardcore TDM.

My best killstreaks were on the scrapyard/junkyard map with an LMG I used like a sniper rifle.

I've only played single player so far but the UAV is pretty cheap. Unlimited missiles?!
 
In single player you get a UAV and you launch missiles with it. Made that level super easy even on Veteran.
 
Modern Warfare 2

I received this game in the mail on Tueday from Amazon. Unfortunately, I am not able to play since I had to send my Xbox 360 back due to the "ring of death". Actually, I am lucky it happened since my extended Best Buy warranty expires/ed three days before this happened. So here I am one of the first to have the game and here I am not able to play it. I played COD4 exclusively for over a year now so I was looking forward this this game

Anyone out there have a chance to play this? More interested in the multiplayer part. Feedback??

Really? I ran out after like 4 missiles on Regular. Said something about the Predator being offline.
 
Spoilers:

The UAV goes offline after the Russians make a final charge for Nate's but I must've used about 10 missiles during that assault.
 
Yeah the UAV is awesome though. Right now I'm... (spoilers)

In Brazil where you have to catch this guy but the militia is all over you. Those bastards open windows and shoot you in the back, snipe you from rooftops, sic dogs on you and RPG you while they toss grenades.

Freaking awesome.
