Console (Xbox Live/PSN) / PC - Online / Multiplayer Gaming

I was all excited about it and then I learned they had 9v9 dynamically hosted servers with no kick abilities. When asked whether they basically just ported it from console to PC with no additions they said "no, you can use the mouse!"

I'll stick with COD4, thanks. I might download a cracked version to play the single player game. TBH I'm so sick of being ripped off with the Windows Live bullshit in Fallout 3 and Batman I'm not going to buy games with any of that kind of nonsense anymore.

Actually for Fallout 3 I got a torrent of one of the DLCs because I tried to buy it on their stupid Windows Live site but couldn't figure out how :laughing You have to hand it to game developers when they make buying the game harder than playing the game.
 
I played it last night and it rocks. When you first setup the game, it warns you that there is a very graphic aspect of the game and it asks you if you want to see/play this part. I chose "yes" because I'm an adult. There is a level where you're a CIA undercover and you join a Russian (I think) terrorist group. You and the group walk into a mall and kill everyone. I'm not going to lie, I was a little freaked out and didn't pull the trigger until I saw the cops. Other than that, the game is awesome.
 
I'm digging it. Havent even tried campaign yet, just multis. I cant believe some fools are ranked 30+ already and the game just came out.
 
Anyone have it for PC? I cannot believe they killed console commands and removed dedicated servers!?!?!?

:laughing Don't be surprised if many pc gamers do not get the game if they are in the know how about its limitations. All friends who I know are pc gamers didn't get it. Nearly all of us chose to stick with MW for the time being and pre-ordered BF:BC2 (completely different take from BC and is coming to pc, yay)

Just go see the latest bad company 2 gameplay footage at gametrailers.com and you will see what I mean. :thumbup

I just did some reading and heard that its just the import from the console? WTF really? Man, I guess this is the beginning of the trend to try and charge pc gamers for content like consoles.

No modding too?!?!? WTF! Where do video game companies think they are going to get the ideas for the their next games? PST*Joker ( a pc modder) already forced InfinityWard to remove some of the videos of the game from youtube because of copyright infringment. Some of the features and content of Modern warfare 2 are from HIS mods that he made for COD4. LOL. :laughing

What a dumb move. I am just now reading up on this and I cannot believe what they did.
 
PC gamer here and even knowing its limitations online I went and bought it anyways for singleplay. I may try multiplay after but I'm still in the beginning stages of the game (and need to take a breather because of a little motion sickness lol). Graphics kick ass and currently running through a Brazillian favela is kicking my ass!! :cool

They know exactly what they are doing, if your company was in charge of something that made it possible to play games on the pc yet at the same time you have a huge segment of your company working on a game console and developing games where would you put your money and time?:party
 
My little brother and I are finished with all missions in Spec-Ops besides the Delta series. We'll never get to that. Fuck Juggernauts, esp when they sneak up behind you and blow your head open.

Multiplayer is pretty f'ing epic. Glock 18 + Red dot scope = Total ownage. On smaller maps I dont even use a primary weapon anymore.
There are a few maps which I hate with a passion, it seems like a few more than COD4... Im not a fan of all the Urban maps that look the same.

On another note, I got on a 3:30pm yesterday. There where already a gaggle of level 35's. What The Hell.

Well 220,000+ unique emails signed a petition, lets say half of that to be an acurate number. Thats over 7.5 million of revenue lost, and lets say half of the 100,000 people download the solo mission through torrents. Sounds like a loss for them. People get single player for free, and less revenue for the company. :party

It is what it is.
 
I have no desire to play multiplayer specifically because of that. I don't feel like having my ass handed to me without any opportunity to get better or do anything.

I'm going through all the SpecOps stuff with my brother and even that is hard as hell. That's good enough.
 
well even at level 39, i like using the FAMAS the most out of all the guns i unlock. you get the FAMAS right off the bat. the later guns arent all that much better, every gun has its advantages/disadvantages

they didnt lose anything they were not already prepared to lose to pirates, wow those 220,000 people sure showed them didnt they:rofl
computer games are slowly going the way of cd's, dvd's, and bottled coke:x
 
Holy crap some of the levels in SpeCops are insanely difficult.
 
Multiplayer is awesome, campaign is still short but sweet, beat it in five hours one sitting on veteran, it also seemed a little bit easier than the first, im still stuck in the silos in the first game on veteran.
