Destination Ride Restaurants - Feeling it? What are your fav's?

Now that I live up here in Shingletown, up Highway 44 at the small town of Old Station is a place called " JJs Cafe"
They make fresh bread and their own jams and jellies. When the weather is nice there's an outdoor patio. Good fishing near by on Hat Creek.

Mad

A short 4.6 mile blast down Az 60 @ 80 per indicated, from my winter spot.
The closest and best restaurant, a Mex place, suffering from a dairy invasion, in poor La Paz county.
With fly in capability, Sunday morning breakfast could rival a bike with an open cockpit experience.
Then there are the Marines, F18, Harriers, F22, Osprey, C130, out flying low for the radar dodging fun out on a loop back to Yuma.
I keep waiting for some of those guys to show up in the parking lot, too.
Sharing a parking lot with aircraft, to me it is way more special than trucks, cages, boats, & bikes.

Point Arena Chowder House and TapRoom, definitely worthy.
Rancho Nicassio is also on my destination worthy rides from the north bay with lots of coast in between.
Lodge at Crater Lake and Lake of the Woods in Oregon

I can’t help but think I’m due a ride down to Francisco’s in Mulege. The most to die for prawns ever!

I always liked Equipales in Mulege. Amazing seafood platter and the best damn Mexican hot chocolate.

How is my old riding bud? I see you are still actively riding. Lucky you...

My SoCal recommendations:
Josie's Hideout (used to be Sadie's, but tragedy occurred) by Lake Henshaw, somewhat near Santa Ysabel. https://www.josieshideout.com

Shields Date Garden in Indio. The cafe is good, but the reason to go there is for the date shakes. https://shieldsdategarden.com

El Mejor Pan De Tecate, Tecate, MX. An absolutely phenomenal Mexican bakery just a couple of blocks from the border in Tecate.

The Lookout Roadhouse, Lake Elsinore. https://lookoutroadhouse.com

Gastronome, Idyllwild. https://gastrognome.com

Thanks for the addition! :thumbup

Scooters up on Highway 70 which became Jakes has changed names again. It's now Toni's. I never really see bikes there like I used too. It's mostly construction and utility worker clientele now.

Can't comment on the current food as no staff was wearing masks so I left without ordering.

I am looking forward to looking for stops from this thread on rides this year!

Added Estero to the list. :thumbup

Destination Ride Restaurants (NorCal)

Middletown - Cowpoke Cafe (from Calistoga take Hwy 29 to Middletown; about 17 miles of ultra-twisty road).

Big Oak Flat - Priest Station Cafe (halfway between Manteca and Yosemite on Hwy 120 (close to Groveland); may be temporarily closed b/c of pandemic; about 4.5 miles of ultra-twisty road to get there; you can take the new road or the old road, but I've only ever taken the new road).

Point Arena - Franny's Cup and Saucer (get a fresh-baked cinnamon roll and some coffee/espresso; mornings only I think; it's about 1.5 hours to get there from Bodega Bay).

Found it, finally, this thread. I made one lame attempt to search for it, no joy.

Anyhow, This place was rocking during Sturgis rally, I wasn't hungry at the time.
Went back for a late lunch during the Deadwood car show.
On 14A from Deadwood to Lead, in Lead.

I would place this in the killer burger column. Just off "The Michelson Trail" (sp) hikers, bicycles, and probably cross country skis will carry you there.
Lewie's Burgers

New bar & burger joint in Hawthorne, soft opening two weeks before Mem. Day

Barley Brothers, the green building from my "bike on location pix".
A chef from Fremont Ca, lost his job, 'rona closing. He found his way here, and trying to make a go of it.
A new McDonalds in town too, with no price list on the menu??
I guess you have to haggle for your dinner, I bailed.
$1. menu, nothing to eat, just drink.

I never see anyone out on the street here, the Safeway has the most traffic, @ not much, , ,

I wonder if Monica’s family’s restaurant is still open in Hawthorne?
