Diesel fan?

In this thread I learned that "cabbage" can be a verb. :laughing

I've got a 96 TDI Passat that I'm very fond of.

I love my diesel bus.
Beats the hell out of the CNG buses.

Boat 2 naturally aspirated 6 cyl Hino diesels
Van 1 Powerstroke diesel
Van 2 Mercedes 6 cyl turbo
Bus 1 Detroit 6-71
Bus 2 Detroit 6V92 DDEC

Iveco sold
NPR sold

So that's a kick start right? Or does it have one of those formula 1 starter packs on a separate trailer.

Had the pleasure of standing on the piston of a 10-cylinder diesel engine. With my arms outstretched (I was about 8 at the time) I could just touch the cylinder walls. No idea what the output of that monstrosity was, but it moved a few hundred feet worth of fishing boat with no problems.

Looking at a TDI for my next car. Or maybe Dragon's bike up there.

Oh...I thought we were talking about DIESEL engines...

One place I worked at had three 16v-92TA for power generation; I think they were 500+ hp each.

You can't really talk about the Diesel cycle without including easily the premier diesel engine-maker in the world: Mercedes Benz

:p

Hornet, I have service/parts manuals for both those Detroit Motors that you can have, don`t see myself going back to that field. Still have some Hazet specialty tools for the D309 Mercedes too, not sure if applicable for the six cylinder.

Which bus are those motors in? I have a couple of manuals for GMC, Flyer and Gillig types.

On the KLR diesel, they set another record at BUB Bonneville event this past year.
