OK, I broke down and ordered one. I've been wanting a quad copter to add to my arsenal for photoshoots. I bought a Phantom 3 to get my feet wet, and now I want something smaller, and higher quality. The Mavic fits the bill perfectly.

Anyone else have one? Care to share tips. I've checked out DJI forums, and my head is spinning from information overload.

I'm a noob to drones myself and recently picked up a DJI Spark to start with. Although when I get better piloting I'd like to get a Mavic Pro in the future. Happy flying

Hey Stan go figure who would have one. :)

Yes the Mavic is a great bird.

Very Stable and I would recommend a iPad Mini 4 with a USB/Lighting cord.

Very portable as I take it on my long rides.

Let me know if you got any specific questions. ;)

:thumbup

I'm about to pull the trigger on the Spark mainly cause I just want a selfie drone. I was contemplating the Mavic, but I don't think I need it. I've heard nothing but good things about the Mavic so congrats on your new purchase.

One think about the Spark is that it has a partial Roll axis ability but for the price it is great.

Down side is you will still need to register it. :(

Cool factor is the hand control ability. :)

If you profit from the done shots, you need a license.

Right! That hand gesture is the main reason I want to get it. It's just a selfie drone for my purposes.

Kewl. If you are still thinking about it you will be on the longer waiting list.

So do it now!

Done! Just ordered it with the Fly More combo option. I'm considering this a Father's Day present to myself.

No'ice and Congrats!

I will pick one up someday but I have 2 birds I need to complete building before I do. :D

Took my P3S on the rally to Quincy, but we were apparently too close to the airport to fly. :(

Fucking lame. At least limit me to a certain height or something, don't fucking kill all the fun. :x

Me n the fam strolling around the Palace of Fine Arts on father's day. It was nice to pull out the Spark quickly and take a "dronie" lol

You guys are aware if you are a non-commercial drone operator (pilot) you no longer need to register with the FAA...

I flew a spark over the weekend, its a pretty sweet little bird. If I wasn't fully seduced by FPV racing I would definitely be in the market for a Mavic Pro.

Talk to me about the FPV drone racing....

Someone said that to me last weekend and I hadn't checked up on it.
Link?

At the court level you are right but it is still not the final word. The FAA will have a chance to respond.

The FAA b4ufly app is indispensable for situations like this. I check it first before I fly anywhere.

Your course helped me out tremendously! I took your advice and practiced a lot on my hubsan before buying my P3.

I should have skipped the P3 and gone with the Mavic to begin with, but oh well.
