as far as this thread.. immature move by the OP. dont like how you were treated by a business? posting it on the internet might make you feel better, but its not going to help you in any way other than that. talk to the business owners. thats how you get problems fixed.

Gotta problem? Talk to the business and reach and understandable conclusion. If business says the product is perfect and piss off then you can go online. I've never ever had anyone not fix an issue. Always took care of it with an apology......except for MELODY TOYOTA....I hope the higher ups there starve.

So you commute to work in a Geo Metro then right? I mean if that's what you are saying about comparing a $13k Honda CBR 100, to a $18K+ Ducati. The Geo will do the same job as say a Lexus. But you're not rolling a geo to work right?

I have to disagree. If you have beef with a business I see no issue with posting about it. That is how people find out about a company for the most part, reviews. If DD continues to do such things, which I am assuming they won't, then this thread is pointless but it is a point to come back to if repeated business is poor.

I am sure the OP never wanted the shit storm barf brings and I am sure DD didn't need it as well but it is good to hear about business practices of companies that I may do business with in the future. I am no way saying that DD is a bad company but I am saying that they should have a little more quality control before sending something out the door.

We get that the Internet is a powerful tool to expose wrong-doing, but the point I and others have made many times in this thread is the business should have a chance to respond and resolve the situation before its made public. It's only fair. DD is not some huge, faceless conglomerate--it's a very small business run by real enthusiasts who are just like you and me. Believe me, they will never get rich making small batches of carbon fiber kickstands.

As for quality control, aside from the stands not looking nicer, did you read DD's response? These were built to a very low spec to the customers' order. They wanted to only pay $195, not $300, and this is what they got.

The only real mistake DD made, as far as I can tell, is dealing with this group of customers, which I'm pretty certain will never happen again.

And let's make it clear: the OP was NOT a customer and had no direct stake in this.
