Ducati 1199 Panigale: the wait is almost over

So wet clutch? No trellis frame? Why thought that they were trademark characteristics that Ducati fans have defended so heavily? Atleast it was what interested me, it was what made them different.

Does it have a desmodromic valve actuation?

Yup, chain/gear driven instead of belt driven

:laughing I guess you don't understand Ducati then.. It's not a boutique brand.. They push the boundaries, and if that means dumping existing technology for something new and potentially better, then so be it.. gotta admire that.

Yes. But I like my Ducatis with it's built in tambourin..! :ride

Im glad ducati is using their flagship racer as their way to push the envelope.
you want trellis frame and shit? get one of the many other models that have it. you want the latest and greatest suprbike from them, with all the future tech? get the panagale'

Good point.. It will be interesting to see what from the superbike will trickle down to say the hyper, monster or multi, although the suspension trickled from the multi (and it fuckin rocks btw).. That short-stroke twin and monocoque (heh heh) frame may not be a good fit for the rest of the line, but a Hyper with the TTX suspension and that TFT screen would be badass..

The sbk line isnt about tradition. If you want antiquated but character filled bikes, a top of the line sbk isn't for you anyway

Case in point, I love the air cooler two valved trellis, that's why I had a 900ss. The sbk line is about winning championships

Sounds like the same shit the diehards said when the 851 broke cover. Once upon a time... a 4 valve ducati was considered a mortal affront to tradition.

:twofinger

Why the..? :twofinger

My prerogative is not your prerogative..! Dick. :nchantr
