i have a mountain bike, but wouldn’t exactly say i was good at it. very lame considering i live in a known mountain biking mecca - TONS of awesome trails. it’s all literally within spitting distance of my property. but you’ve stimulated me to rethink this. thanks dude. at least until i either wrap myself around a tree, or launch over a cliff (whichever comes first lol).it fills a big gap if you are a mountain biker that wants to get out there in more remote areas, it allows you to access tons of trails that analog bikers simply can't. Above a certain grade, it's a total chore to use an analog bike. You can also go farther than analogs and simply see more and experience more in a single ride. Also it takes more skill to ride one (not as much as a motorcycle) because there are more parameters to control for, and you're moving faster.
