If it floats you boat, sure, but usually speakers with gimmicks like "X-Bass" sound too boomy and loose. I prefer tighter bass.

When you say pressure do you mean sound pressure, from the noise cancellation?
What about in ear then?
This pressure, does it feel like high air pressure? Or something you can actually hear?
I want something capable of staying on my head for 5-6 hours at least.
They’d get my vote again in a heartbeat. I haven’t tried the Sony ones but I do have a set of Vmoda cross fades I think is the model. Also Bluetooth and noise cancelling. Audio sounds fine but they’re nowhere near as comfortable as the Bose set for extended periods.Stopped by BestBuy today to try them on.
Bose is definitely more comfortable. The ears just don't get as hot in them as in Sonys.
Sony does have better sound, and the quick attention mode is quite nice.
The noise canceling was about the same. The sony did have higher feeling of pressure on the ears then Bose.
Speaking of which. Even thought bose had less of a pressure on the ears feeling, it was still there. In the end I don't think active noise canceling is for me. After trying them on for few minutes each I had slight headache from it.
Thanks for all the feedback.
Yeah like high air pressure. Everyone ears are different and for you might not be noticable.
Also it might be possible for it to go away after a while, or you can get used to it. It was just impossible to test that duration in the store.

I wear my Bose for hours on end. The clamping pressure is minimal. You must have a big melon.
so what will you do then? Normal over ear headphones? Professional ear muffs? Or ear muffs over the headphones![]()
33dB earplugs, plus a set of earmuffs, and glare at anybody who tries to talk to you.

Hmm? I didn't say anything about clamping force.
Normal over the ear. I have a pair now that work ok.
That's usually what causes the head aches.
