Fancy bluetooth noise canceling headphones

Now we are talking. I have been told I looked pissed when I am concentrating. I think it's one step below of "you look prettier if you smile". :rofl
Botox ftw

Interesting observation about a feeling of pressure. I tried to find info about it but nothing very scientific turned up. As best I can tell one thing going on is that ANC is a lot better at filtering low frequencies than high, with a result that is unnatural and can be disorienting or uncomfortable for some.
You would think they'd concentrate on the mid-range frequencies, as that's where most external noise comes from

The Bose and the Sony?

Yep. One had more then the other, but both were uncomfortable to my ears with noise cancelling on. Now it's entirely possible it would go away/I get used to it, but I didn't want to gamble 300 bucks on that.

Thanks for all the feedback.

Nothing. Decided my Avanti 60 bucks ones are good enough.
Whole point was to get noise cancelling, but after trying both top of the line ones I didn't like the ear pressure.

The Qc35s are cheaper than custom molded IEMs, but not by a ton. I’d give some consideration to customs if stretching the budget a little is possible.

I have Bose A20s and custom IEMs. They serve different purposes for sure, but the custom IEMs block out more noise than the A20s do.

As a bonus, the customs work nicely in plenty of places a set of cans aren’t practical for, like under a helmet.

This thread reminded me. Flying to NY next month. And I gotta make sure my QC35s are all charged up.
