Fastest you've gone on a motorcycle (and fastest corner you've taken)

best part of this thread is that most everybody that i would expect to answer it answered it.

:loser

No, the best part is that you (once again) attempted to convince us about how much more awesome you are for not playing in our reindeer games. Yep, you are awesome.

I could come real close on the math, if we know the true radius of the tire and width. I guess 5-7 percent.

Your dad must be an engineer...

Seriously though, I find 5-7% hard to believe. When I swap the tires on my Supermoto from 21" dirt wheels to my 17" streets I have a 10% difference in reported speed if I forget to swap my speedo back to the street setting. There is no way that constitutes the same, or close to the same radius as rolling a 17" wheel to the side. We're talking removing 15mm tops.

I'm going to actually have to measure this in my shop tomorrow because it's bugging me now.

You have a hard on for me, don't you? Do I know you? Other people mentioned even higher numbers. I guessed high to be commiserate with the other posts. Let us know what you discover, or at least everyone else, cause I probably won't get it.

155 indicated with speedo healer on the freeway. not sure on corner speed since the fastest was probably at Thunderhill but I dont really look at my speed on the track, especially in a turn

What? I'm sorry, I didn't know we had to personally know Barfers to converse with them on an internet forum, please forgive my horrible transgression. I'm sorry yours happened to be the comment I read. Perhaps it's the shoes, but thanks for the heads up on proper edicate in situations like these.

Please do let all us rubes know when the douclique has an opening for possible pledges.

i was told to unbunch my panties in here once. i don't like the source of the comment, but i tried it...it works:party

y'all muthafuckas need to chill the fuck out with this bickering and back and forth bullshit. it's really starting to wear thin:rolleyes it's invaded nearly every thread that i click into these days:shame

175mph while tucked with a passenger on the back. She said she tried to put her head up but physically couldn't. I thought it was fun, no sphincter tuck.

This was at 2 or 3 am on an empty freeway. Highway 1, right after it splits from the 280, and right before it turns into 19th ave/Junipero Sara.

I've also been 150+ mph on 19th ave at Ulloa, also at 2am weekday with an empty road. I got air off a bump when I crossed Sloat Blvd at 100+ that sent my ass hella high, but my adrenaline was pumping so hard that I didn't care, just wanted to get as fast as possible.

180 mph, proably up to 185, S1000rr

Conditions were fit for the speed. Can't remember where, there's a few long straights I know of.

Fastest corner 120, S1000rr

Perfectly calm, or I wouldn't have done it.

Haven't gone that fast since. Now it's about the ride, not the numbers. Not really my thing.

It's not how fast you ride, but how fast you feel. :ride

Do my Dainese leathers make my @ss look fast? :rofl

But in all seriousness, these kind of topics are just great to read!

Huh? The speed is going to be the relationship that follows the ratio of overall diameter to diameter at lean. The type of tire or size doesn't matter. Clutch's figure is probably correct.

i have to...

I have to plead the fif!

Those times when I have gone fastest on a motorcycle, it was either not quite fast enough to win, or fast enough to win. And on very rare moments in my life, it was faster than anyone had gone to that point. :laughing

I went as fast as Rossi in T11 apex at Laguna! :laughing.

About 35 mph. Of course he gets to it and away from it a bit faster than me.

Inducated 152 2-up on my ZX14. Indicated 137 2-up on my old ZX-9.
Raced 250 SB back in 07, might have taken the corkscrew around 90(?) right before I bailed....
