Freeway Protests and Solution? Is there?

The argument is that since Covid "only kills old people", AND that any other Covid deaths are just a hoax since every single person who died had underlying causes or was about to die anyway, there is no need to SIP or social distance.

Not so sure protesting is that organized and structured with governing rules and regulations. I suspect its more of a free for all.
If you can wave your hands in the air and shout you're in. The louder you shout the higher your ranking within your particular platoon.

Nationwide mass protests are generally pretty chaotic.
Portland is a yuppy town settled by well off whities with not much skin in the game. Maybe not an average reflection of how mass protesting is done.
 
Portlanders using the protest as a chance to get outside flashing their new North Face puffy jackets and gortex facemasks.
They moved out of the ambulance's way so they wouldn't spill their lattes.

And they weren't even blocking the street to begin with. :laughing. No one had to move. The argument that protestors have uniformly let folks through who have emergencies, young children, and emergency vehicles is specious when applied to riots that spill onto freeways.

People trapped in traffic were having theirs windows smashed in and cell phones taken from them.

I actually got caught up on the I-5 closure in Sacramento on Sunday. It was not fun and the 45 minutes I spent there really made me less sympathetic to the protesters cause. It did not feel safe at all. There were people escaping by driving the opposite direction, driving over curbs and in between any gap they could find. I was glad my kids weren't in the car. Once the CHP showed up they did the same thing, weaving in between at an even faster rate.

But I guess I'm just a privileged asshole for wanting a safe way home. FUCK YOU. The majority of people I saw stuck with me were minorities anyways.

If they do not get out with the protestors, they aren't actually minorities, didn't you hear? If you just want to go about your life and not be a part of this fight, you're a white supremacist.
