Golden State Warriors 2017-2018

According to you.

I believe one ref thought he was and another ref thought it wasn't. To solve that confusion you go to replay. That's the leagues response and 95% possible.

What happened and Cavs fans wont admit to half of it is the refs knew they blew the call and it was a block, not a charge. The whistle was blown, refs got together and said we need to take a look at this, it's really a charge. They used the positioning of feet out of the restricted area and under 2 minutes as a means to reverse the call. Gray area. Sorry.

Should it have been called a charge in the first place, the correct call, none of this arguing would be happening. Cavs fans are in denial it was a charge call and therefore are pissed about the review to check feet placement which technically under the rulebook they are allowed to do. Now....did the refs know he was out or inside of the restricted area? :dunno I'm not a ref paid to pay attention to dozens of things going on at once. Maybe they didn't see his feet after all and all was done under the rules.

Regardless of the refs seeing if Lebron was in or out of the restricted area, he was not set in a guarding position before Durrant was shooting and thus....a charge, the correct call was made.

I don't entirely disagree with those statements - I want you to know that. We may not always be on the same page, but I respect what you post, and appreciate you taking the time to write out a clear response. So thank you for that. Clearly we're both passionate about our teams.

As you said, it was very grey, and that is seriously unfortunate. Did they really not see his feet, or was that just a questionable cover to reverse the call? We'll never know.

If we were blown out by GSW, that's fine. But they weren't and when you do something like make the review they did, it creates controversy where you want none. That's the worst part of this whole thing.

You're expecting a lot from the refs. In a split second they're supposed to be able to determine if it's a block or a charge, if any contact is made, if it's a shot, if the defender is in the restricted area, and a whole heap of other factors.

Two of them made opposite calls on the same play.

Of course it's normal to be upset the call went against your team, but it's more important that the correct call was made. Which it was.

Gesturing went beyond clapping.

Why permit that? It's pathetically immature, and absolutely taunting. Of course, no call.

Let's review LeBron's behavior last night. There was the agonized grimace from the floor from which our hero might NEVER be able to come up and off of. There's the chest thumping which reminds me of an animal I am not allowed to mention. Theres the mighty dunk without any nearby defenders, so resolute and brave and the extended lower jaw. LeBron gets pictured with the baby bonnet repeatedly for a reason in all of those online viral things.

LeBron is one big giant taunt. He backs it up no doubt but jeezus, don't try and lecture us about immature gestures on the court. LeBron is like a cartoon sometimes. He is a truly great athlete of all time, but he makes me wince with his gestures and such....

I hope you aren't referring to lebron on the ground grimacing from having his eye cut by draymonds nails

"Agonized grimace" justified yet, BA?

Let us know when you're ready to move on to Game 2....

I'm ready.

And they say the Warriors couldn't play the rough style of play from back in the 80s, please.

Which time? Everytime he hits the ground we get the floor show. Celtics series too. He is one rough-tough creampuff. Either he is all muscle and heroic brawn or he's in the fetal position. You buy it??? he's the sports version of Joe Biden, able to squeeze out a tear on demand. I've had that eye injury. It hurts but probably not as bad as your average knee injury, like, oh, I don't know, maybe Klay? The only thing more amazing about LeBron's facial antics are the miraculous way in which he returns to play, IF he didn't catch the foul and has to get his ass back up.

He's cried one too many times. Maybe that time REALLY did hurt...right. If you can't admit that he always milks for fouls, well, I can't help ya there.

And he wasn't anywhere near it, which is the absurd part. He's nowhere near the line, and they call for the review... and that's the only way the second part - checking the charge/block - gets reviewed.

That wasn't the only blown call in the 4Q. Looney blatantly hacked Lebron on the arm and there was no foul call, resulting in a turnover. Lebron strips Durant cleanly on that drive, and they call him instead for the foul.

The officiating in that game likely cost the Cavs the win. A whole lot of people also seem to feel that's the case right now.

I haven't been this disgusted about a game in a long time.

Yes, Smith screwed up.. Yes, it would have been great if Hill hit that free throw... But that stuff listed above, plus the reversing based upon BS restricted zone nonsense... it's just an awful, awful way for officiating to totally turn a game on its head in the last five minutes. Awful.

Maybe this is just Karma for all the BS calls that went Lebron's way in the first 90+ games that got him here (not to mention the first 14 years of his career)....

I was wondering if there was any vegas bets on how many collective minutes LeFloppe would spend rolling around on the court in feigned agony this series.

Not discounting the eye poke. That shit looked painful.

I have burst blood vessels in my eye from sneezing. Fuck sake :rolleyes

With all the salt up in here we need to be making margaritas :laughing

can someone get a screen shot of LBJ face in agonizing pain like he lost his first born or something when JR started dribbling the ball to the 1/2 court.

I saw it for a split second, he was waving and making faces then .5 second later he just stops and starts walking to the bench like he knew JR was just too stupid to understand wtf just happened. LOL

Post 1004

Kinda sums up LBJ's otherwise awesome night in one pic...

Ah those precious moments....I'll look for it.

Of course, by that time, based on his post-game interview, he was legally blind. LeBron is sitting in a corner selling apples somewhere collecting dimes in a tin cup. Until the opening bell in Game 2 then he will magically have his damaged eyesight restored.

Editing in: ha, beat me to it. He really does make the best faces, that guy.

I'd make that same face if I'd worked as hard as he had to drag my team to what should have been a victory and someone wanked it that bad.

I not only understand and acknowledge that, a part of me feels for the guy. Then the rest of me sorta doesn't. You know, fan loyalty and all that rot.
