They go faster than most people are willing to go, they are too tough to die, will we ever be free from their influence ?

Well, of course a ground breaking motorcycle like the venerable Hayabusa is, without a doubt, a future collectors item.

It can surely be placed among Vincent,Thor,Excelsior Henderson, and Brough Superior, as landmark machines.

Why clean, first year, low mileage examples are already fetching above msrp at auction.

Thank you for noticing Planegray, you are an astute motocyclismast.

I thought this was going to be a classic, everyone else dissagreed

Actually, I might be in the market for a more, ahem, experienced bike....I hear some folks have upwards of 30K miles on theirs, and still running :wow

30k? Silly man!

Why, I, just the other day, witnessed a 70k mile busa pull 158 hp on a dyno. The mechanic remarked at how the busa is a long running bike.

2006 LE Hayabusa FTW...

or any old school Busa....:banana

...the original Katana, specifically the 1100, is THE Great-Gran-Daddy of all sportbikes. It's a heavy beast for what it is, however, those lines continue to this day...

Guy in front of me in line at Bonneville went 179 mph on brand new one. Still had paper plates and under 500 break in miles. Very impressive motorcycles.

Busa motors can take a lot of abuse. The death of many of them have come from the damage caused from breaking their chains!

fixed!

Guy I sold my early 00' zx12r too said he was buying it as a "collectable." I think those first few years Busa's are in the same ballpark. BEFORE the limiting of all bikes to 186mph when both the Busa's & ZX12r's had 220mph speedo's. Any of these are probably going to become a collectable?

as time goes on the bike gets bigger and BIGGER.... if we are lucky it will add 2 wheels and become some sort of 4 wheeler with turbo 12V......
