Hwy 1 closed Dec '22 - ‘26 NOW OPEN!!!

A short section is repaired enough to "open", , ,
still, no full tilt boogie, all the way, , ,

CalTrans on the move! :thumbup

Had to drive down to Big Sur for work today (Big Sur needs their beer!) and it was nice having rocky creek bridge open. No more waiting!

We will see what winter has to say about that. It has been a minute and I miss sauntering down 1 for sure.

Damn. Hope no one is cut off.

Been almost 2 years.

The little muddy yeah. Quick action.

I was referring to the coastal ride thru Big Sur to Cambria.

One day rides to Cayucos await.

Still one of my favorite rides. Tourists I can handle. Mudslides are above my pay grade.

Really hoping to visit an open Cayucos Tavern one day again before my traveling days are over. I will even cowboy up and drink brown liquor.

Will it stay open thru this summer ?
Cal_trans thinks the slide is stable, thru the rest of winter ?
I'm thinking a soft opening, to start tourist summer planning ?
Restore the fleet of Convertible Mustang rentals, on Hwy 1, , ,

Knee not up to a long ride. So I scored a campground at Kirk Creek for Monday night and one at Big Sur for Tuesday, If you come up on a big white Ford Transit look at the lower left drivers side rear window. I will alway use a pull out for riders I will also wave if I see it is clear and have room to get around, trust me :teeth.
Give me a Barf wave and I will wave back.
