So I superman'd my bike + myself off a cliff on 33. Now I'm sitting in a hotel in santa barbara

tldr: dumb mistake, but got rescued from Cincinnatus who drove 5hours down to pick me up. And 5 hours up to drop me + my bike off at home. There's a microsd card somewhere off a cliff on 33. It has the footage. Feel free to dig for youtube material...

Thanks Peter!!!!

--------3rd day edit, trying to add some sense into my post instead of just endless rant-------
For those who wonder what happened, I was riding 33S with some friends and decided to pounce gracefully down a hill like a unicorn. After 30ft or so, I realized this was a bad idea so I stopped my tumbling with the help from bushes, dirt and other magical forces. After a few trips up and down the cliff to gather my things, I pillion'd on my friend's bike while we rode slowly in the dark for another 50-70 miles to reach our hotel. <3

After we checked in, I made this post asking for help and advice. Peter PM'd and texted me, telling me to get myself checked out or he'll pick me up from my hospital bed. I really thought I was fine, even after rolling down the hill, so I had no intentions of going to the hospital. A few hours later, I started texting Peter gibberish so he got extremely worried and managed to convince me to see a doctor. I went to the emergency room at 2am, stayed til 3:30. Came back and passed out :angel

Next day, AAA dragged my bike up the hill with the help from Peter + my friends. Peter drove me home with the bike tied to the back of his car while my friends went back to the hotel (in the dark..again).

scrapes and bruises. Now (2 days after the crash) I'm just sore as fkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.:rofl

Thank you everyone,
that is all :)

+1 glad you're in one piece

i gotta admit, it was pretty fun flying down the hill LOL :D

but climbing back up wasn't that fun...

Crap. What sort of damage did you do to yourself? :(

myself?

scratches and bruises =)

i flew pretty far down, dont know how i survived. all i remember is my body tumbling down a hill at like 70mph lol

I just messaged a good friend of mine in SLO who might be able to help. Won't be free but likely a fair bit cheaper than a real tow truck.

edit: looks like a no

Pending a response from Junkie's friend, you might want to shoot a PM to Connie to see if anyone in her network is that far south. :dunno

You're probably still in shock. Give it some time and then reevaluate your situation and maybe post in crash analysis. I've ridden 33 before, and i've see the terrain up there. You were very lucky.

IIRC Todd/Ogg had a mishap in that region and had help from a BARFer.

And whatever gear you were wearing, I want some just like it!

I would but that would require about 800 miles of driving in one day for me : ( Not to mention alot of holiday traffic.

+1 for the first point. Very, very lucky, and it's good to be young.

Todd was further north and west on Peachtree/Indian Valley. I think he got saved by some SLO peeps.

correct. said SLO peep who rescued Todd told me he's willing to do it for $1000. If you can't find anyone for less than that, let me know.
