I superman'd that hoe

is that cheaper than insurance? also, they can drag my bike up rght?

Depends what your deductable is, condition of bike, how you plan to get it home because they will drop it off at nearest yard. This means you'll more than likely take another trip to SB.

Damn thats my worst fear going airborn off the cliff! Do you have pics or vids of the scene?:p

I've got no clue what, if any, insurance you have. I can just ask friends what they're willing to do.

He's got a winch and can drag it up the hillside to his truck.

I could come down there tomorrow, but it's 5 hrs 16 mins / 312.25 miles each way.

If you could get it up the hillside and all, we could load it up when I get there and bring you & it back. You pay for gas & food... :laughing

Glad you are ok. Daytona is not an easy bike to learn on....

It's not the bike XD. Not like I give too much throttle or anything. Just target fixated :p

It has a very aggressive geometry, and razor sharp steering, so the road/corners seems to fly at you. As a result small mistakes get amplified, thrown in lack of experience and .... As I said not an easy bike to learn on.

You just need some rope and a truck.... so whoever comes to get you, ask them to bring that too.

If I had a truck and a winch I would be driving there overnight but alas....I only have motorcycles. I think that's the problem with this forum...

I'm glad to hear you are still able to be on the forums and are seemingly unscathed.

Also, changing the thread title to reflect your situation may provide better results.

Wow... That's going to be an awesome story.

If I didn't have work tomorrow morning I'd be in my truck right now.

Harbor freight has a 2000lb electric winch for 50 bucks, or manual ones for 15-20. Bolt that bitch up to a bumper and drag the bike up.

I can go down there to get Nate, but he's not seen a doctor and I'm afraid he's concussed. I tried to get him to go see an EMT or visit a firehouse and get checked out, but I don't think he's going to do that.

Any advice about getting hold of his riding buds is desired, or info on where he is.

I feel this story is being down played way to much. Did I just hear correctly that you flew off a cliff? :shocker and you're pretty much ok?:wow someone buy this man a beer!

FUCK!

You have no tow/recovery plan with your insurance?

I was the one that snagged Todd after his I'll-fated trip. I'm probably 2 hrs north from you. I have a winch and 135' of cable and a trailer. I'd roll for my expenses down and back but I have someone here from out of town that came all this way to help me with a project and that whole plan would be shot if I rolled down there tomorrow. As much as I hate to put you off, if you were still in this predicament on Sunday, I could get you up the hill but I don't think I can get you to Richmond.

Nate, are you sure you're OK? I'm worried about you, bud. :(

It can take some time before you realize the extent of your injuries.

I was texting with him because I was going down to get him, but his last text was garbled and he has not seen any medical professional.

Who did he go down there with, and can we contact them to see how he is? If he's concussed, sleeping is the worst thing that can happen, he can get an embolism and die.
