I superman'd that hoe

And I'm five hours north of him, and don't know where he is.

I don't know who he was riding with or where he was planning to stay, either. :(

Does anyone know?

So f'n important to make sure you and your friends are healthy after an accident.

Concussions are not immediately obvious, but if you smack your head, then you're concussed, mildly to severely. Brain bruising can kill you if not treated or monitored.

Best thing his friends can do is keep him awake and get him medical attention immediately.

I feel this story is being down played way to much. Did I just hear correctly that you flew off a cliff? :shocker and you're pretty much ok?:wow someone buy this man a beer!

I'm still awake since cinncin told me not to sleep...

Although he's doing a good job of convincing me that I have a concussion. :(

Guess I'll give EMT a call just to make sure.

Anyone have a winch to lend out?!?!?

Fuck the bike, it's not going anywhere. You need to get yourself checked out first. Why don't you post up your location so someone can come and get you. You can come back for the bike later. Don't be an idiot. :nchantr

The sleep thing isn't so much of a danger as once thought.

That said, you STILL should get your ass to a doctor ASAP.
Concussions are no joke and your condition can go downhill quickly--so don't wait!

Myth 1: Fall asleep with a concussion and you might die.
Not so, says David Hovda, M.D., a professor of neurosurgery and director of the UCLA brain-injury research center. After trauma occurs, it's important to watch for the signs of a life-threatening brain injury: double vision, dizziness, and nausea or vomiting. "But you'll wake up if you start to vomit," says Dr. Hovda. If these symptoms arise, find a doctor immediately.

Myth 2: Once your head clears, it's safe to go back in the game.
Don't even consider it. On average, it takes about 2 weeks after symptoms stop for the brain to recover completely and begin operating at full capacity again, says Dr. Hovda. Another trauma during this period could cause permanent brain damage.

Myth 3: If your CAT scan is clean, you're in the clear.
Since concussion damage occurs at a cellular level, a CAT scan doesn't pick up the changes, says Mark Lovell, Ph.D., a member of the NFL's concussion committee and director of the University of Pittsburgh sports-medicine concussion program. But don't skip the scan, he says—it'll reveal any bleeding or swelling.

Myth 4: A grade-1 concussion is no big deal.
There's no such thing as a grade-1 concussion—not anymore. The 1-to-3 scale, from mild to traumatic, went out the window a decade ago. "We found that a person with a mild concussion has the same memory loss as someone who's knocked unconscious," says Lovell. "All concussions are considered mild traumatic brain injuries," adds Dr. Hovda. "And there's nothing mild about a mild traumatic brain injury."

Myth 5: Concussions can cause headaches for years.
"There is no scientific data to suggest that if you had a single concussion, say, 2 years ago, you are more prone to headaches now," says Dr. Hovda. With multiple concussions, of course, it's a different story.

Myth 6: Heading a soccer ball can cause a concussion.
After exhaustive study, scientists at the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies found that the ball-to-head impact is not powerful enough to cause a concussion.

OMG, you just got the bike too............. Sorry to hear man. I hope you heal up well and hop back on the saddle soon. I'm going through a small accident fiasco myself with my cage. If it makes you feel any better, after my accident, I got a speeding ticket in my rental car. Just a few weeks prior to the accident I had just spent $500 fixing that car.

Aww, yes I hope I'll hop back on soon :)

I feel completely fine, I guess I was one out of a thousand that got away :)

A shame that my sd card popped out during the crash, that video has potential to go viral :rofl

Think of it this way: you got your accident out of the way so, statistically, you should be good for AT LEAST the next 20-30 years of accident-free riding?? :laughing:thumbup

Pretty sure I'm going to turn myself into a track junkie after this ...
:banana

Thanks everyone :D!

Went to see the doctor, and yes, she was hawt!!

She said I'm fine, have a very minor concussion, but i should be fine (currently have a headache). I had a wound near my happy place, and she cleaned it really well :p

Epic day was epic. Now...what to do about bike hehe

FYI, I have no interest in the bike, but I don't want to pay registration fees... Is there anything I can do? I don't have full coverage, cuz the bike was cheap. If i call insurance, are they going to just take it away or will I need to pay fees or whatever.

If I do somehow pick it up, ow do I "unregister" the bike so I don't need to pay registration fees?

Well at least Doctor was "hawt". Even with "minor concussion" it's still a concussion take it easy. Try calling some local Motorcycle Shops, they could recommend a motorcycle towing. Try HD dealers first. :laughing
