Did any one try installing the 4.0 Beta on their iphones yet ?

Yes. It's still VERY beta. Apps crash a lot, messaging is spotty, and camera doesn't work at all at the moment lol

Is it only available to SDKers or ?

I just jailbroke and unlocked a 2g iPhone running 3.1.2 using redsn0w earlier this week. I now have it running on t-mobile. Works great. PM me if you need any help.

Looks almost like IntelliScreen... what app is that?

It's called Lockinfo. Pretty lightweight compared to Intelliscreen.

Been looking around and theres dozens of sites that say they can do it. Any one work best one that you'd recommend now? Don't have an ATT sim card, bought the phone off a buddy, so will need to do it through Windows somehow.

+1, assuming you haven't upped to 4.0.2 which "fixes" it.

If you upgrade to 4.0.2 :

Boot your phone in DFU mode.
Download 4.0.1 here : http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750
Load iTunes > Ctrl or Shift Click "Upgrade" > Point it to the ipsw
and then Jailbreak it using jailbreakme.com

I can't load anything because it doesn't have a valid sim card in it. At least I can't load or open anything that I know of. Keeps telling me to put in a valid sim card - from AT&T

Using redsn0w I can't get past that "browse" stage because I can't find anything. Then I tried that blackrain one and it says I'm missing a file and it closes. Either way I'm stuck.

Have a 3G, 16gig if that makes a difference, and using Windows 7.

I did reset it successfully through itunes, but having the trouble in unlocking it.

With Redsn0w I get stuck on the browse part for the corresponding IPSW. Have downloaded a couple different things to correct it, but even when I find it, it says it is unable to recognize it. Or I can't find it completely...

Now I'm using my iPhone 4 on T-mobiles network. No contract, but coverage is sucky. Oh well 45 more days and I'll be switching to Optus or Telstra.

This is all jibberish.... to me.

I am getting an iphone from my folks and i want to use it for the remaining months on my T-mobile service. And then when my contract is up with t-mobile i want to switch over to AT&T by adding a line with my parents plan. (only $40)

My computer is down. And i don't have much access to the internet. Does jailbreakme.com work?

What are my options? would unlocking my iphone and jailbreaking it affect it's return to AT&T?

Let me ask you guys....

I jailbroke my 3g before I came to brazil.. Now its wigging out. Its really slow and when typing the keys on ends dont work.

I tried restoring it to factory settings then re-jailbreaking and still the same thing.

Also, my screen isnt responsive at times.
