John Dice New bikes for '26 memorial thread.

This is an interesting concept.

Sure would make me do a double take.

When will Chevy bring back an updated replica of the 2-door Bel Air???
Kinda the same thing.
Old school cool.

Yeah, but it's a double tease.
That companies turmoil dilutes any excitement I might develop over that bike.

Not digging the headlight treatment. Compared to the older ones, it's like the designers couldn't make up their minds.

I can't help myself. :laughing

It is an obsession and I waited over a year for the bankruptcy crap... and then broke my leg and have been waiting to get healthy. It will be the ultimate sign of my comeback I believe. :teeth

Lets change colors.. I like Blue and this Big Blue Beast can take you from here to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy over ---> there in comfort and style.

The BMW 1300 RT has what it takes to gobble up long distance miles.

Hold on to your lug nuts!!! One '26 - BMW R1300 RT equipped like the one shown here (refer to above link) will be in the $32K to $35K range.
Now if you look at the S1000 XR like this one below w/hard bags and don't go too crazy with the all the "M" options you'll be in the $23K to $26.
This one is in the low $24K range before T/L fees. (Yes, I have been looking at both, but the XR is becoming more appealing. It's more Sport Touring
focused than the RT.)

Sweet. Thanks!

A taller seat should be fine to do. I am or used to be 6-1" and the Multi is taller than this bike by a bit I think.

My birthday is April 25th. A Saturday.

Sounds like a great day to pick up a present for myself.
7 months post stair attack. I am pretty confident I will be ready.
They might be hard to find these days, but the 890 SMT would give you a taller seat height, and is a blast. But the 990 Duke is a great looking bike. I am also 6'1", and the Duke seat height and riding position isn't ideal for me. I suppose I could get used to it, but I prefer to not be so cramped on my bike.

Thinking I will sit to confirm I am good being cramped. As long as I am doing less than 200m days cramped is OK as long as the knee is not in pain.

I did sit on the 890 and the new 990 and it was all good so hoping the 990R is OK.

@FLH03RIDER that looks like a sweet ride!

^^So much this^^
I've reached the point where I need fresh gas before my bike does.
I never need to top off before heading home. The size of my bike's fuel tank aligins nicely with my own personal range.
I do confess I'm noticing a slow and subtle decline.
I've never wanted a Harley, but now I'm looking at those 2 gallon peanut tanks a little differentley. :laughing

I hope KTM has quieted down the "bag of rocks" engine sound the lc8c has for the 790 and 890.
Just an awful sounding lump.
I added a different CCT and checked my valves, all good. Still sound horrible, but all Internet research says it's normal

Having lived thru the "Gas Crisis" in the 70's, struggling with a XLCH's range,
Every time you want to leave town for an errand, just a short hop, next town over,
Ya gotta stop for a refill, and all the time needed for all, to refuel, and restart, waiting for the kickstart crew to light up, to roll.
My next bike was a New '74, R 90/6 with the six gal. tank. even bigger than the R 90S.

That 2 gal tank on my mini, whole different world,
