Just got a Google nexus 7

am getting seriously sick of all the pop ups dancing across the screen of everything i am trying to do. what the fuck is up with this shit?!?! there is absolutely nothing cool about this. google can kiss my ass. pucker up. fuckers.

Huh? I rarely encounter popups on any mobile device. Especially using chrome. What are you talking about?
 
She might be using an older device with their default browser and flash. Device 2.3.
Popups do show up... If you're using chatty, bloggy, buggy , non standard video sites I guess ..

Oh, a popup just showed on me when I started MX player , it's the Google ads. Well, the app is free....

Yeah just about all of them do, but they aren't popups really. If you don't like them then pay for the app.

This is true on any of the platforms. I am not sure what it has to do with google. Their ads tend to be the most unobtrusive IMHO.

does your browser also have lots of toolbars? has internet explorer gotten really slow lately? i think there might be something wrong with your windows xp computer. have you at least downloaded service pack 2?

that sounds about right. i'm not tech, and am at the mercy of my IT. so i checked out some shoes. don't need to see them in a banner across the screen every time i log in for the next four months. just find all this noise phenominally fucking irritating. they are no where as good at reading my mind as they think they are.

That's not Google. Sounds like you have some nasty malware.

Google ads are mostly text and are in pages not popups.

They do other ads too, but this is more googles style.

Damn son. Got one based OP initial reaction. it's pretty rad. For a long term purchase item, it's certainly worth the $250 I spent at the brick and mortar store.

You see, i work at a computer day in and out, so the last thing i need is another terminal to plug into when i'm at home. This is where the media consumption device comes in. Its damn near perfect for my needs. reading .pdfs, paying bills, online shopping, reading ebooks, web surfing (aka video and prOn friendly) the whole deal.

give it a whirl at your local brick an mortar, i think you'll find that its worth the asking price.

woot! Sounds like you are just as happy as I am. Like some other posters here I was skeptical on why I would want a tablet. I have a laptop and I have a phone why do I need anything else, especially a large phone that doesn't make calls (well non internet anyway).

I was wrong.

My mom offered to get me a Kindle Fire and I told her to get this instead after reading up. Glad I did and it is well worth the money. :thumbup
 
Not sure if it's still the case, but the HD (tablet) version of tapatalk was free (or 10cents) for a while there...

Still stoked about this purchase. Just realized there is also a pretty decent sketchbook app from Autodesk that I'll have to download.
 
Plants vs Zombies HD is the only app needed. Seriously, it's that good.
