Kate Middleton's boobs

It's weird because England did go through their Victorian period, in which a lot of very scientific thinking was taking place simultaneously with the big coverup.

People who study such things would probably say that the US got more conservative and prudish since the founding, similar to the Victorian era. But here, it seemed to stick.

I dunno. Some people link it to racism and the notion of keeping white women's bodies seem somehow more special. It's extended to other ethnicities, etc, but that dichotomy of tribal women the world over versus here remains...

I guess it's somehow comingled with capitalism as well as religious sentiments. There's money in sanctioned boobs in fashion, movies, etc etc...

PS. To Sandy: evidently somebody does (read page 3). It's nearly a sub-genre within their journalism. And, my son, who lived in Berlin, told me what big paper readers the Germans are. It would be nice to have that here instead of our shrinking monopoly.

Dude-what is wrong with you? You take a perfectly acceptable topic regarding cleavage and attempt to turn it into some sort of serious topic. Please just stop.

Next Redrum will come in here and tell us to buy gold and silver because cleavage won't be worth anything after the bust.

Interesting thoughts. Aside from the Middle Easteners and perhaps the Asians, we seem to have the most conservative, prudish views on nudity and sex. The Euros and Latin Americans are so much more open and mature about such things.

The "white women" thing, very interesting and a possible explanation (but one that should be diminishing). The way we (and our govt) view porn, masturbation, premarital sex, etc etc etc is so strangely traditional...

To be fair, the thread sucked anyway, with no pics.

You people are lazy. I Googled it in two damn seconds. :twofinger

Besides, anyone in here should know even if they post a link they'll get Bapped.

Seeing the British uproar and commenting about it....it's hardly political. I don't get the big hostility. Never even named our two Prez foes. Just sayin.

you asked for it........

Yeah, in general, our somewhat puritan views of sex are strange, since the large majority of Americans are descendants of more open-minded Euros.

:laughing

No we're not... our country's history points to and has a tradition built upon the foundation of the Puritans, the people considered TOO religious by early 17th century religious zealots.

Yes, they were seeking religious freedom, the freedom to be even more righteous and pious. They were still burning people long after it was out of fashion....

OK, but I mean, what about the next 200+ years of mainly Euro immigration? I get your point, that the founding influence remains, but it is hard to believe that it has such staying power...

I'm not saying her privacy wasn't violated. It was. But......... being a mega-celeb, one would think that they'd expect this sort of shit and to find somewhere else to sunbathe. How much property do they own? How much money do they have? There has to be a 100% secluded place to do this.

It was supposed to be they were on a Private Terrace on a large private estate facing nowhere public. Apparently the pappaazzi somehow go into another large private estate adjacent to theirs and took the photos using longe range surveillance equipment.

Pippa's ass is better....
