Legalize it...

I'm opposed to legalization of any narcotics...:thumbdown

perhaps we should ban cigarettes and alcohol and habit forming OTC drugs while we are at it.

how about ephedra/ephedrine? or derivatives? the OTC's are worse for you than any amount of dope you could smoke...
this country/world is full of hypocrisy...

Edited... pot good; opiates bad. True. :thumbup

whatever marijuana is classified as, I'm opposed to legalizing it...

Self control problems?

Deal with yourself yourself, and keep your fucking laws off my body.

How dare you tell someone else how to live. If I commit a crime against you, prosecute me. But you want to fuck with me for something I do daily, without hurting anyone?

And on top of that, you won't fuck with me yourself, but you expect the cops to do it for you? Yeah, I wonder why? Oh that's right, because in your heart, you fucking KNOW it's wrong!!!

Sorry to be so harsh, just using you as an example. Nothing personal.

IN that case, why not ban cigarettes and alcohol as well? Or OTC drugs or casinos or tracks or any other thing that can be habit forming

What is your basis on keeping it illegal besides its illegal now for (bullshit) reasons? Alcohol destroys FAR more lives every single day than weed ever will. And spending tax dollars to stop and impression those who buy and sell a relatively harmless substance, when it instead can be used as a revenue generator is really beyond me

I think this is an idea that only 2009 could bring.. it is a good one....

This would create a huge reduction in trafficing and illegal shit.. or the illegal shit has to be priced accordingly.. it will also lesson what we spend with the DEA trying to combat it.. but it should be free enterprise like tobacco is..

The government should not set the price the market should..

Booze is such a big problem and the gateway drug (whatever :rolleyes) is not nearly as bad.. it might be good for restaurants and 7-11. :laughing

The government is searching for answers and this one is a big win.. legal.. and tax it..!

I know so many tax paying americans.. good ones that smoke it and live fully productive lives it just cannot NOT make sense.

:smoking

yeah..i imagine jack-in-the-box and frito lay stock skyrocketing~!

So True...I still remember the first time I had tacos while high....Taco Bell on Morrissey, in SC...about 11:00 at night. There is no time that those disgusting tacos are better. Almost makes me want to eat beef again.

Sigh, you can't really recapture your youth though. Even with fire sauce.

Where the poll mate?...

I don't smoke it, but I'm for legalization...:smoking:staRang:loco

Dude, that is a flawed logic.

Who says anyone has to distribute the stuff? It currently is grown and sold throughout California by medical clubs. Why does this have to stop? They currently collect taxes on with the expectation that the govenrment will eventually ask for it. Why not let them have it. You don't need some massive corporation involved. You can put limits and checks on these sorts of things. They just need to take the law one step forward.

Instead of it being legal for medical reasons (which is complete BS), it would be legal (or decriminalized) for everybody over 21. And taxed. How will it be regulated? This is where it gets sticky.

You see, if you get caught selling weed, you will have to prove you have paid taxes. So just like during prohibition, they will get you for tax evasion, not dealing. This will work and can potentially make a lot of money for our state and country. Let's do what we have to to get out of this recession.
