dude, stfu. it's been explained numerous fucking times that it is done relatively safely, with people who are known and trusted.
if you can't see that, then fuck off and cry.
love the way you gloss over this gem:
I was using extreme, ridiculous views to challenge ST's (and others') extreme views to show that a scenario can be made dangerous in anyone's mind.
Equating riding along next to someone and reaching over and killing their motorcycle to a solid chance at death for your poor unsuspecting brethren is beyond ludicrous.
oh, and nbean? please, show me where I said anyone rides scared. pretty sure you're confusing me with someone else. normally not a big deal, but since you threw in the "makes me look none too bright", you can fuck off, too.![]()
what a pansy-ass approach to life. oh my god, if you stall his bike, he could DIE!!!
jfc, dude.
My apologies, I did miss that. And I agree with you, that example is too extreme. You're also correct that corndog said the ride "scared" comment. You were defending his comments and I confused you two. So again, my mistake. Just apply my comments to corndog.
However, this is where you defend kill switching at speed, which I'm sorry, is just a stupid thing to do. And you call him a pansy for not agreeing with with it. So what I wrote about you still stands, I just should've applied this quote.

It's not polite (or acceptable) to argue with people who can't respond.
PLEASE withhold arguments with mean dad until he gets back from his suspension
THANK YOU
da modz
Sorry, didn't notice the suspension. Will do.
Nobody to blame but yourselves.......
How's that going to feel if something goes wrong? "Oh, I'm sorry I fucked up you big time. 'Hope you heal up fast and can ride again some day."
And for the record, while some may ride "scared", I sure as fuck don't ride scared. I love riding and it's fun as hell. And I don't ride slow either. And I love street riding for the challenges it provides getting from point A to point B safely. But I also know that riding is a risk every time get on the bike. There's enough risk and danger riding without increasing that risk for someone else for stupid pranks.
If you think just riding from point A to point be B safely is a challange then it's probably time to sell the bike and get back in your Prius. Shit like this has been going on since kill switches were invented. Right time and place? Sure. The same goes for wheelies off of corners and all the other fun things not all riders have the skill set for...

Geez, it's amazing how people miss read shit.
Riding from point A to point B is indeed a challenge. For everyone on this forum. And all riders. I didn't say it was difficult for me or many others. I believe I do it far better than the vast majority. And I enjoy the hell out of it in the process. We all know that it seems like every cage and even the road itself is out to get us when we least expect it. If we drop our guard, that's when we get bitten. When I say "challenge", I mean that it's an active effort to keep the rubber side down. To avoid all the hazards and ride so that you don't find yourself in a position or situation you can't get out of. Believe me, I don't ride timidly or fearfully. Exactly the opposite. I ride with skill, experience, and boldness. I'm usually the fastest one on the road. Not by a big margin, but enough to keep me from becoming a target. Always splitting to the front if the situation warrants it. And not afraid to drop a gear or two and roll it on to get air going over an overpass just to put a grin on my face.
It's the riders who don't think point A to point B is a challenge that end up getting bit. They think it's an easy ride, they're just going to point B after all, and they relax their guard, and then that left turning car gets them. Or that that little bit of gravel in the apex. Or........
The challenge is in staying on your game, as in any sport or activity requiring concentration to do it well. Those who race and do it well are totally focused. To ride well and safely on the street requires the same focus but on a special skill set that is quite different from the riding well on the track. It is no less demanding. We read every day here on da BARF about those who fuck up on the street. Another one crashes, gets hurt, dies, etc. The vast majority of it needlessly. Avoiding all that is indeed a challenge.
For me, it's more than that, it's an art as well. A dance, if you will, with the motorcycle. Delicately and artfully threading one's way through the debris of society. From A to B. And getting there safely and enjoying the hell out of the ride. Yes, it is a challenge, and anyone who can't see that will likely have the sausage monster bit them someday.

) I dont do this anymore as all of my closest buddies either do not ride, or have passed on. Sucks getting oldI read once about an incident here where a now ex member started a bike and revved the crap out of it not belonging to him. I would had closed line the SOB.
