Messing Around While Riding

Ask Keith Code about coasting races (two up)! Probably the most dangerous thing I ever did on a bike. The ole kill switch trick doesn't work for this.

I knew a dude that crashed while riding in a straight line. He rode again. :dunno
The more you post, the more you remind me of those guys who think horsing around at the shooting range is perfectly fine, so long as they're all friends...

one of the reasons I'm not a big fan of fuel injection. :x

I know! Actually my trick...backfired...on me once with the first-gen Bandit 1200, when the backfire bang happened it popped a rubber vacuum cap off one of the carbs and the bike started sputtering. Thought I'd broke the motor for a sec. :laughing

what, you don't pretend to be robbing a shooting range in a mask?

not sure what makes you think that, unless you're purposefully ignoring every comment I've made about relative safety and precautions. you go ahead and assume everything that is not a direct control motion for the operation of the motorcycle is inherently dangerous. I'll keep thinking that what I (and several others) do isn't that big of a deal.

sorry about your buddy, but it sounds like it was 100% his fault, yeah? fuckin off on a moto is srs biz, yo!

Used to do that w/ my 63 chevy impala until I waited a bit too long to fire it back up and my new oval muffler turned round.

Was he wearing a cactus strap-on?

:laughing

Know how I know you're gay?

:wow O Snap!! Tim in for the win... :rofl

When I was a kid I saw a girl get pushed into a pool, she hit the bottom and was paraylized.
All through my school years I watched her struggle with everyday life, the guy that did the pushing ended up moving shortly after.
What a burden that would have been to live with! do I still prank YES just not at a severe level and only with those that are like minded with it.

That would be an unimaginable thing to have to live with...

Last Friday on the Vampire Hooligan ride dude next to me at a light tried to snag and toss my keys. He got the engine off but I was able to hold onto them.

The next day I Vampired Proffed them and sure enough another on of those bastards tried to take them but was denied :D

Seems like a cross and a clove of garlic would suffice... ;)

I donsome poor unsuspecting girl in a swimming pool is equivalent (or even remotely close) to messing around with your friends in a fun, light-hearted manner. :facepalm

Too bad you live such a sheltered life that you have never been to a pool party !
That is what happens there dunking swimming and pushing no one there thought it would turn bad
No she was not just walking by and got pushed in.:twofinger

And thanks for butchering my text when you quoted. Well-done.
Seriously, if someone has lifelong issues from being tossed into a pool I would be very surprised. Perhaps her family is letigious and was trying to make a buck? :dunno

You just get better and better, corndog... :rofl

Last time I rode with someone interested in pranks was the early 90s; he was a fiend for hitting the kill switch, messing with your shifter, et cetera. Cruise night in downtown Salinas, approaching a pack of spectator, he reached over to hit my kill switch, maybe take my keys, I'm not sure what...

Long story short he was so intent on messing with me that he hit some obstruction in the road, swerved, and highsided over the curb right into the spectators. All low speed, no injuries except to his pride and his ride.

He never played at that again.

Yvil one, I grew up in the Monterey-Salinas area. You probably knew or knew of, the guys that startes me down this road years ago. And I cruised Main from the mid-70s until they shut it down in the early 90s.

Boy hope it doesn't happen to your family, I check back and see how your attitude is then.

Going through tunnels, when your bud is behind you, turn off your kill switch for a sec, then back on, for a BOOM backfire that's sure to get your friend's attention.

yeah, won't work for the injected bikes. I always get jealous cause of that. The only way I can ever make flames is to blip the throttle just right while standing still. Well, my SXV does it now but thats occasionally on the downshift lol

Regrettably, I didn't read his post closely enough to see that she was paralyzed. Apologies for my previous statement on the matter. For some reason I was thinking she was traumatized. Sincere apologies.

Road or Street, depending on who you are with and how long riding and trusting. I have had people / racers in dirt come up under me and stand me up, scares the POOP out of you on a Short Track, but your used to tucking up under folks. Center punching friends on trails, knocking the rear wheel out of them all fun games.

I remember once my buddy and I were coming home one night. We cam to Bascom and Hamilton, I reached over turned off his bike pulled the keys out and tossed em in the road and took off. :rofl

Fun times, he got me back by reversinig my clutch and front brake runs. Ya that was embarresing

Fuck John, that was very clever, reversing the cables. I'm going to have to store that in my memory bank. Took a lot of forethought. And I know what you mean about your "buddies" knocking you off in the dirt. How about after a big rain, you are going through a big puddle or water crossing, and by the time you hear them, it's too late, they go wheelieing by, filling your helmet and everything else with water.
