Dennis, u doing all these charts by hand or do u have some sort of pdf parser that is making this easier (or does excel open pdfs now)?? i could prob write a program to accept Dorna's pdfs and spit out a chart if u want some help.

Well, I didn't do them literally by hand, per se, but with the mouse. :laughing

If you can program something to read Dorna's PDF sheets and spit them out in Excel AND chart them, that would be freaking awesome. But with the way I did it, it took but a few minutes, and I was able to clean up the data by removing information I didn't want anyway. :thumbup

ya ill c how quickly i can write something tonight after work (assuming i finish my race resume b4 that). it shouldnt be too hard to parse, chart, and spit out a jpeg... but identifying outliers and such to toss will be a bit more difficult. u have a Mac??

PC, bro! Wife has a Mac, which I use to swat flies with. :laughing

Really, it was no biggie how I did it. Copy, paste, delete some data, graph it, save as an image, upload to photobucket, then posted for you geeks like me to enjoy. Done, and done! :thumbup

I plan on doing more of these charts for FP's and QP, maybe make it that much more interesting for you guys who like to predict the race finishing order. Maybe for WSBK threads too. :thumbup

My man love for you is quickly reaching inappropriate levels. :laughing

too many steps. i claim to be a bigger geek and scoff at the amount of time it took u to make that first chart. :laughing

That's freakin sweet. Now what would be icing on the cake would be winning % of each rider for each track when who or whom is or isn't racing. If that makes sense.

payback for Ducati not voting against Carmelo's proposed weight increase, which greatly contributed to Dani not winning the title.

I wouldn't go that far, after all Pedro had a year that he has never come close to having.

No, I was pointing out that, once again, your point is completely pointless.

There was no logic in your post. Your argument was that Pedrosa hadn't done it before so he couldn't possibly do it ever.

"I've never run a marathon. Obviously, this means I could never run one."

Face it, you don't have the tools for this job.

No, I pointed that the added weight may have actually helped Pedro considering his result.

I'd have to tap into your bro-JO's database for that kind of icing.

dude, there is no way any of us could have got that ^^ specific idea from reading your recent posts. i took your original reply to mean exactly what JO is arguing about, that Pedro couldnt have had a good year because he'd never had one before, which seems to be not at all what u meant. now your argument makes a ton more sense, but u gotta throw us a bone here. we cant read you mind :laughing. if u mean something, say it outright.

You have to read my mind that's the only way things work here :laughing.

Sorry though my reply was quite obvious about the added weight.

i had an inkling that there was a serious communication error, which is y i didnt get into that one. i hate it when forum arguments go on and on, only to end w/ "oh, u actually meant blah blah". next time im going to ask u specifically wtf u r talking about :p

p.s. - i disagree that the weight helped Dani, ie he'd still have ended the season w/ more points without it, but i cant rule it out as a possibility. HRC DID ramp up development and bring their 2013 chassis to fix the issue... who knows if Dani would have dominated the latter half of the season without that development.

i wonder if HRC was already building the 2013 chassis for 160kg, which is why it was such a marked improvement over the original 2012 one. its prob a lot easier to get a chassis to perform by subtracting weight than by adding it.

Most my reply's come from my phone while on the road so I keep it short.

But yeah it's hard to say what helped the cause and what didn't. Once Dani got the new bike and new tires I believe that's when he really started pulling out the wins. Did Moaner ever jump onto the 2013 bike or was it just dani?

the new front tire came out before they introduced the 2013 chassis, so its safe to say it was built around the new tire.

Moaner found no improvement w/ the 2013 one and stuck w/ the 2012. not surprising given his prev results on bikes w/ wonky front ends. both did use a new engine in their respective frames.

faaaaack! it is amazing that he is still alive and not dealing w/ a traumatic brain injury.

that vid should be kept around as +1 for full-face helmets.

freakin insane, that slow-mo at the end where you see his entire body lifted off the ground and rag-dolled just from hitting his HEAD....ugh

I love these

Cal's been tweeting about watching some Penquin show recently. At first I think it was just busting balls, cuz he said he was going to watch it the same day a bunch of people were advertising some Legends of TT show or something. But I think there might be some sort of short leg connection as well.

:laughing @ lucy doing the dishes

my favorite one of those is the one with pedrosa crying in a dark room and lorenzo looking in.
