Gary please stop posting pictures. I'm jealous of the amount of seat time you get.

When I saw this bunch of vehicles from a distance I was worried that I would get busted if I approached them. Turned out to be a SCCA autocross meet and nobody paid attention to me.

Del Puerto Canyon

The bike handled horribly after this and turned out the rear tire had a leak and was nearly flat. I turned back to Patterson for air and took 580/680 home. Had to air up 4 times along the way, every 15-20 miles. At least I didn't get stuck in the hills.

Fun fact! Crow's Landing naval logistics base has a Superfund cleanup site!

Boise Ridge Road, breaking in the new rear tire. After just a little bit more snow melts I'll be able to ride to the other end of it.

Posted in the “Fun” thread in the sink, but it was the only pic I took from today’s ride:

The Running Iron gets the bulk of the moto riding customers that tend to go for the beer & shots, but there are better places to grab a bite. This sammich is from Jerome’s Carmel Valley Market, they have great deli, and their meat counter is awesome. I will drive out there to buy meat for special events, like dinner! :teeth

Other good places are the aforementioned Kathy’s for a breakfast burrito, the Trailside Cafe has good food and a varied menu, the Grapevine has a great deli and ice cream counter as well.

Not that I don’t like the Running Iron, btw...

Started the day with only 4.6 miles on it, got it in the thirties and never left town.
Found three, of maybe four, fireworks shops, 6 casino's with food, pot store, searching for the brothel.
Still looking for "Lakeside" I thought it was a joke, about the dry lake bed on the way into town.
Somewhere on the south end, about twenty miles from the north end, I'm @ 2/3'ds. Silky pavement on 160, miles float by, streets not so much
Pahrump's view, the back side of Mt. Charleston, Vegas is over the hill, all of that lurking, just 60 miles away.

A few shots from my ride today... Whenever I see the tall dry grass this time of year I get worried about fires. Here's hoping we have a really mild fire season this year.
