The kickstand sunk into the soft dirt. This is where light weight is gold.
You know, these things are pretty cheap, $8 for a pair on the 'zon, fit in your pocket, and even color match your KTM...
I find a rock or stick to help out, also free and you don't have to bring it with you.I used to carry a crush soda can. Those are free.
It's not the weight, it's the space. Some people attach better feet on the end of their sidestand too, so they're always there.Yeah, the 3 ounces those things weigh really make them unwieldy....
Rocks and cans are fine, til they're not.

I haven't had a bike sink into the dirt yet, and I get off of my bikes a lot in dirt areas. Gary856 should have checked the ground a bit more carefully.
Rode a bit today doin one big loop from Prunedale to Alviso and back. Had a little bit of vapor lock issue on 880, but that was a nervous but easy fix.
At Our Lady Star of the Sea in Alviso
Boring shot of the SuperRatna, but I stopped at Lexington to have a bit of brown bag lunch down by the water.
The Peanut Butter Bagel of truth. I have no idea why it’s upside down.
