Well, I was planning on bringing a coworker with me to join you all on this ride, so I guess it will be just me! I will be the new guy on the blue FZ6 looking lost!

I dont know if i'm going know. I have a test that i have to study for.
Guess you should have been studying last night instead of watching American Idol. :laughing

We won't wait for you if you're not there on time. Thanks for letting us know.

I dont watch that crap. my parents and I went out for italian food, and it put me asleep.

I'd like to come.
Edit: Don't wait for me, as I get lost easily and might miss the meeting place. Hmm, I don't think I can make it to Pleasanton in time, so I'll try to meet up w/ you on Palomares.

Next Ride: Thursday, May 1, 2008

Meeting place: Lucky's parking lot on the corner of Hopyard and W. Las Positas

Meeting time: 11:45 a.m. (that's when we leave the parking lot)

Route: We'll decide before leaving, probably Palomares, unless the group has time to do Altamont/Patterson Pass.

_______________________________

Summary of today's ride: It was a perfect day today. A little cool, but less bugs. Other than one car to pass at the very beginning and the mail truck that is almost always there, no traffic to deal with. When we left the Lucky parking lot there were five of us, but we picked up another one at the south end of Palomares. Four Yamahas on the ride today.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the ride. Until next week...

Great ride everyone, thanks for making my first ride nice!

Do you guys welcome newbs? I picked up my bike (ninja 250) 2 weeks ago and I'd like to experience a group ride. I came across this thread a couple times and I've ridden through Palomares Rd. and Collier Canyon Rd. I am a little slow and still getting used to my bike.

We like to have new riders join us and we'll go extra slow in your honor. Or maybe we'll wait for you at more places along the road.

All we ask is that you not try to ride faster than you're comfortable and that you always keep the bike in the lane. If you felt comfortable on those roads riding by yourself and can maintain a similar pace with us, you're welcome to join us.

We don't mind having slow riders along. We do mind having to go back and pick a bike up out of the ditch.

+1000 This was my first ride with the group and I never felt that I had to stay with the group or rushed by the group. Scott did a great job of pulling over to regroup and I am already looking forward to the next ride so I can keep the commuter strip off my bike!

Cool. This sounds great. I'll probably join you guys next week.

Another great lunch ride! I had to bail out of lunch to head back to work, but maybe next time I'll have the time to eat and chat.

+1 on a great ride. :thumbup

It was nice to meet a couple of new people, too. I'm glad SV2007 was able to meet us on Palomares. :ride

See you guys next week.

I will try and make it this week, but don't wait for me if I am not there on time. I am looking forward to riding with you all.

I can't make it. I'm flying up to Warshington (Ft Lewis) for a week, and probably won't be back for the next week's ride either. It suxors. Have fun, ride safe!

I'm gonna try to clean my carbs before this ride. If I can't I probably skip out on this one because my bike has been dying out at stops. I'll post on Wednesday night if I can make it or not.

Update:
Well I just cleaned my carbs today and still have the same problem. I think I need to adjust the valves. I don't have the proper tools yet (rear stand, feeler gauges, etc.) so I don't think I'm gonna make to this ride. Maybe next week (unless someone wants to help me out before the ride:teeth)

I may or may not be there this week. I have a bunch of stuff to do before I take off for the weekend and it depends on how much I get done today and tomorrow. I'll know for sure tomorrow night.

I'm good to go. See you guys tomorrow. :cool
