So basically, it's , after all, equipment, that has to be kept clean so that it locks and unlocks properly. There will be road grime or salt from rain that's hitting them bindings and they get a little dirty.

Just wishful thinking. They can ride within a cover but..still

I seem to remember someone selling binding covers that were made of nylon and Velcroed over the bindings for the same purpose. Doesn’t strike me as weird to want to keep them clean.

If you’re putting them in your car but not going skiing, that would be weird. :laughing

I can understand is mg them. I was more trying to the weirdness of the response than the issue. He said "here come the posts telling me this ain't necessary". I asked a simply question which was "why?" And his response was "seee the posts are coming in"

I didn't say anything about whether or not it was something he needed to do. I simply asked what the purpose was.

That said, I've never found road grime to be an issue. If my bindings aren't locking it's became se they are full of powder, not some imaginary road grime.

I haven’t found it to be a problem either. In a place where they salt the roads it might matter more. Another concern could be that grit might add friction to the release. Don’t know how much difference it could make. I tend to run bindings tighter than the tables suggest anyway as sometimes a premature release is more dangerous than a binding that’s too tight.

@tzrider my friends have a dog named luna who is part anatolian. you have tuna. we just need a third dog named balloona and we’re all set. they call her luna tuna balloona and i love her.

I got Fox a rubber chicken to replace the one he finally destroyed. This one is much larger and must smell a little too new for him. Because he keeps burying it in the wife's planter boxes. The first time she was rather pissed off and yanked it out before I could take a photo. But he managed to bury it completely with only the toes sticking out the top like sprouts.

The second time was a different planter. Not sure which one it's in now.

is cute. i think it’s hilarious pupper is burying its chicken.

Wait wait wait, did I miss a skiing discussion? Obviously the solution is a snowboard so not bindings are involved. But yeah, most issues are packed snow unless there's a ton of road grit.

Wow this is a funny solution!

Well, due to life i can only ski, but I am open to snowboarding lessons.

Also, taking the kiddo for a ski lesson (group). Wondering if she’ll need more days.

We think our Tuna is Anatolian & greyhound. Maybe part cat.

Your fleece would look the same if you sat with him.

If I may make a suggestion, if you’ve got to do it, pick a day when the snow s soft. If you’ve have a tendency to catch your heel side edge, get someone to help you figure it out before you become my spine twin.

Or take up something safe like free soloing a frozen waterfall.
