Yeah the normal process is to submit a request and then they say up to 2 business days, but I submitted one on the 16th and one on the 18th, so it was time to start hassling them. Chat was super annoying and circular, so you get a number from chat, then call the number, which gives you a link to chat. I fiiiiinally got a hold of a nice dude that put in the work. It was over an hour on the phone, like 75min or so. Eventually they created a case, so now it's 5-7 business days....hopefully.

It sounds that way. Skis work better when you keep weight forward and shins pressing your boot tops to the front. More weight on the tips makes the skis more stable and isn’t nearly as hard on your quads.
It could be worse though, you could have gone snowboarding.

Yeah the quads are hurting. I (know) have heard that the weight has to be forward, but, it's more scary if the weight is forward.. so naturally everyone "pulls back"

Sent out digital photo frames to the grandparents. The kind that we can send photos to that will update as long as they are connected to the Wi-Fi. All 4 have Wi-Fi and know how to use it, but only two have connected them so they work. Neither are my parents.

Parents might just not wanna admit they can't work the wifis...
Not sure why I agreed to a bicycle ride across the bridge today, but I guess that's happening. A mere 25 miles or so in total so I'll probably get my heart rate up about the same amount just getting the bike tires aired up and squeezing into my winter riding gear

I got my mom a couple of digital picture frames over the years. It didn’t turn out as I’d hoped. The first was one that used dial#up in the middle of the night to refresh pictures. She never had internet, so that was the best option. I think she kind of enjoyed it, but eventually it was fried during a lightning storm, or so she said. The next one worked on WiFi and I got it for her when she moved into an assisted living facility. As she was experiencing dementia, the content wasn’t very meaningful to her, but the ambient light bothered her, so she kept unplugging it.

Nothing in the last few year's of my mother's life turned out as I'd hoped... Nothing. I'd say up, she'd say down. I still wonder if she was being difficult on purpose. I think she was determined to be miserable after my dad died. It made the end less than pleasant for the both of us.
