coolant REfilled (900 ml. That's near 1 quart) maybe a tad overfilled. OK let's go out.

WHY is my engine bay looking like a storm has splashed through it? Why is there small silt/sand on the plastic engine-top-cover??!?!?! splashes of water on the airbox, and, air-inlet-pipe to the farthest left of the coolant-expansion bottle!?!?!?

oooh . two days of driving through the pouring rain and silty roads, at speed. THAT MUCH road stuff gets through the bottom and the holes near the wheels?!?!?

Yep, driving in the wet you are basically bathing the undercarriage and motor in whatever is on the road. More so if any of the plastic bits meant to deflect some water are loose or missing, as they often tend to be.
 
Ugh. Forget it , I'm overthinking it, I guess. The bottom "splash" shield is actually there.

when looking right, from the airbox, I can see a 2-quarter sized hole in the liner (for some cables or rods or shit, or just short liner), where I can actually see the, outside, right tire in the wheel-well :wow :dunno
Cutting corners I suppose.

No real way to fully seal off the engine compartment without increasing maintenance costs dramatically

working from home for a few hrs and tomorrow I took 1/2 day off.
My neighbor invited me to come to her place tomorrow afternoon. I will go and I'll bring food to them.
 
Weather is looking nice tomorrow so I think I will close out the year with a rip around some of the fun roads around Alice's. That'll probably finish off the tires on the KTM as well, next set will be some sport touring rubber for longer life.

Did some searching and I am dissapointed that there is not a good gif for being lit like a menorah. I'ma have a fancy Moonraker beer and drum up the motivation to tidy things up around here.
 
Things are nice and tidy, now to ponder what I do for dinner.. burrito is topping the list at the moment.
